I went on about an hour after the deadline and I was able to submit my application. It is now showing up as "Submitted" so I hope they have it.

Was not Able to submit

Hi Everyone, I was also unable to send my application last night. I sent them an e-mail to BA but no response as of yet. Does anyone have any suggestion?

I feel like a passenger who arrived on time for my flight, but the plane had already left! I can see some people are in the same position as me, what have you guys tried?

Thanks!

Outcome of BA Call

I rang BA this afternoon and there was automated message being played that they aware of last night's problem. I spoke to a customer services member who said that they were looking for possible solution, but did not mention what that solution is or when they are looking to announce it. Looks like we will get to submit our applications!

Did anyone else try to send their applciation last night only to experience the website crashing due to excess traffic?

Due to this I wasn't able to send off my application.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I would call them, if you check the phone number that is in one of the emails that BA sent you, they will help you. They told me they have recieved mine and it is has been passed on for screening

Called them; received a recorded message advising that they are aware of the difficulties last night (good news that these have been acknowledged) and to contact them by email at the address already noted. I shall await a response to my earlier email...

What makes you so confident they will allow us to submit them?

This sounds a little more promising. I emailed them. I'll wait for a reply too...

Hi guys... I hope this has worked but I just submitted my application by going to http://www.britishairways.com/careers/login.shtml and logging in through the button at the top of the page.

Just received an email acknowledging my submission

Fingers crossed and good luck

My Application says "Never completed"

And it doesn't have any other options available?

Why did so many of you leave it to the last minute basically? To be honest it would be very generous of BA to extend deadline for those that didn't get it in.

Just rang up and apparently they are currently going through about 500 emails and setting the applications back to incomplete so we can go in and finish it and then submit. She said it should be done within the next hour. Fingers crossed.

Cesc - your comment is redundant. If they give you until 23:59 on the 28th, you should be able to apply up until that point.

Perhaps you could say we wanted to use every bit of time we had to ensure our applications were as best they could be?

Status now back to "Not submitted yet" and can be edited again - does not display quite correctly in FF but works fine in IE (which is BA's preferred browser).

Edit: Submitted - back to a slightly better kind of waiting...
