Hi Rich,

Likewise I sent my excel query form the day I received it. Looks like some guys have had rejection letters. I have just over 300 hours, only speak English, very low turbine hours.

Hi, apparently by the 15th they would have informed everyone. They are looking for low-timers. Don't know how many have already been tested.
Good luck to everyone. (900 hrs and waiting for a response Y or N)

They told me during a call to the office. Same thing with the low-time. Forgot to ask what they meant with that (). Lots of people still on the list. More info they don't want to give.

Thanks for that Griego. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Slightly off topic but do you have any news on the Olympic Air first officer jobs for turboprop fleet? It was advertised a few weeks ago.

SW1: plans for Olympic are to get more nationals in, so a good chance there. There are some issues with 'former' employees do.
Pilot Hans: thanks for the information, I guess Brussels will be for an other time then. Good luck getting your airline job.

Patience is a vertue, I imagine that they have a lot of applications still to get through (assuming they havnt already selected).

No news is good news! Slim chance but keep it positive!

I actually felt a brief sense of optimism after sending them the additional information. Now back to the delusion / reality of another failure. Yippee.

But all the English folks that applied.. do you speak other languages than english? Cause the requirements said you have to be able to communicate in english and one national language.

The situation in Belgium is the same as everywhere.. so they probably have enough nationals speaking all 4 of those languages.

Did anybody get a Yes? Because it seems lots of people got a No or nothing till now.

Cheers!

I fly for BA and I heard that they had more than 600 applications for around 30 places. Twelve of those places were already taken by people who were selected 18 months ago but whose training was cancelled due to a hiring freeze. Some more pilots might be needed later this year as plans are to lease at least one extra A330 and one A319. Good luck to all those who are still waiting!

As someone asked me via PM, I'll repeat this here again. French or Dutch spoken is NOT a prerequisite. It's an advantage ofcourse, but we have several pilots who only speak English. Lots of French speaking pilots in our company also don't speak Dutch.
