Hey guys,
Just wondering what is the easiest or cheapest way to get to the Mercure Castle Hotel Windsor from Heathrow?
Or How much would a cab cost?

Alpha Lima Xray, rail links aren't too great from LHR to Windsor, none that go direct anyway.

It may not be the cheapest method but a taxi would be the quickest and easiest way of doing it, you are probably looking at £40 return. One thing to note, there is a big problem with taxi touts at Heathrow, driving with no license and no insurance, they normally wait at the arrivals hall and offer very low prices. If you take a cab make sure it is the normal London black cab.

Hello,

Good luck to everyone who attended the assessment(s).

Etihad is really a brilliant Airline to work for. They are rapidly expanding and was told they getting some new planes very soon.

Chances are I won't get through however it was an experience not to be missed.
Never been to one of those assessments before and as the Etihad staff mentioned its the experience that counts and maybe if you go for general interviews this day may help you a lot to prepare for it.

Besides you will meet a lot of people who share/ have the same interests as you. So its not a waste of time!

Anyway those who have already attended it would be nice if you keep us updated with your progress.

Good Luck!

alpha_lima_xray,

Don't pay a taxi too expensive. Heathrow has connections to the Piccadilly Line so the underground connections are good.

Do this call up London Travel Information on 0207 222 1234 they would give you the easiest route and the cost to get to Windsor (make sure to tell them u don't have an oyster card) . Or go to English - Journey Planner - Transport for London. Theres a train that goes from Vauxhall all the way to Windsor & Eton. You could get on somewhere in between.

And all this should cost you around £10 return, depending on where you are. And you can give me the remaining £30 if you want

Good luck for the exam.

(I'm going too.)

infact the aircraft is joining the fleet every month my friend and the fleet size would be around 150 very soon take a look on the website for the amount of Airbuses and Boeings purchased.
Atleast thats what i have seen for the time i have been here.

Good luck to all with the tests
and congrates to selected ones.

we were told specifically not to mention anything about the tests so please can people not ask. It also detriments the competition amongst us all. Those still waiting will find out whats it's like when you go yourselves.

Its a cool experience though!

ohh, rgr can be understood

edit: I did not mean revealing any kind of special info about the tests themselves, I was rather interested in your last sentence. It is just I always write something sooner than forming the sentences properly, expressign myself correctly.

I won't ask you anything about the tests, I can see your point.
But about the assessment process... have you been told when European people can eventually expect the second stage in Abu Dhabi?
And when will they notify you of the results of this first part?

Greetings
