They said we would get a 'No' or 'mabye' next week. Mabye as they have other assesments to carry out in other places.

I think they said that stage 2 would be in april, with the next course starting in june.

assessment

I just go a question. They only say to get passport with you. Is that the only thing that you need to get, no need for any certificates or anything and it also says that the test takes 4 hours does it really take that long or breaks included

I just got back from the ETIHAD ASSESSMENT!!!!

However, if I give you guys details about the test, I would be doing a great injustice to myself/other candidates, and the whole assessment process. I know that the best advice I can give you is to relax, dont rush, and have fun. That said, Good Luck to everybody who was there today and those who plan to take the test later in the year.

So it seems that the people who attended the assessments in Europe will likely be enrolled in the June, while the rest of the world who have assessments in July and August will most likely start early next year. This is what I understood from what's written in this forum. Do I understand correctly?

Good luck to the people who already did the assessment, hopefully you will not be disappointed.

I'm Back

Just came back home from the assessments, it was really a COOL experience, thanks to the captains & to the other staff people...they gave us alots of confidence before the exam & after it...

as for the questions...don't worry, anybody can answer 90% of them easily, it's all about time & how fast you go. As for me, I was satisfied (neither Happy nor Sad), I've done what I have to do. Can't say anything more until next week.

Good Luck for all of you people, truely you'll be lucky to be one of EYs staff .

Sorry for not arranging the time to meet up...It took me a long time to find the Hotel & I had no internet connection till late 18th, but met alots of PPRuNers, J Shendi & Jumbo 744 are the ones I remember. ood Luck again

If anyone is staying in London AFTER tomorrow's testing...and reads this, give me a shout.

I'm staying in Kensington, but some post-testing social meet would be good!

I have to agree with Malrim I felt satisfied but didn't get the feeling of 'aceing' all of the tests.

Did everyone finish every question of every test, some of the tests you really had to work your way quickly that's all I can say.

General summary of todays assessment
  • Enjoyed the assessment today (0900 18/02/09), can't believe some people paid £140 for B&B when I paid £35 for a hotel 1 minute walk away!
  • The guys running the show did a great job at showing what a real down to earth airline Etihad are.
  • Can't believe after numerous warnings, people's mobiles still went off!
  • Would love to know why L273 was asked to stay behind.
  • Amazing toilet facilities, handwash AND moisturiser!
  • I would have taken a watch.
  • Why do people think it's ok to turn up in tracksuits/sweats? I wouldn't even turn up for a interview with McDonalds in a sweatshirt let alone one for a job as an airline pilot with a major airline.
Just my observations..

student88 - what do you mean by L273? Is that one of the applicants? Where you seated at random or you are given specific seat numbers?

2nd assessment in April? So I guess they will form a class out of London\Frankfurt people... that sounds good.

I can't say I remember seeing you malirm - like many I think I did o.k. Not 100% but not terrible. Saying that, with these things you never know how you did until the big day. The latter 4 tests are very hard to prep for and generally show what your true aptitude is.

@aurthreetwenty

..basically, I crapped my pants when the host said "would L278 stay behind" . Everyone is given a sticker with a letter and 3 numbers on instead of a name badge.

I had to laugh when I was going to the toilet - seeing a guy who must have been on the afternoon assessment on the computer using the internet to check pprune! Some people have no tact.

Thumbs up

Dear malirm what did you mean by 90% ?? what about the rest 10% was it the level of difficulty or just not enough time to go through questions??

Class is most definitely going to be London + Frankfurt and by the standards i dont think it is going to be any more than 12 guys.

Hay lets hope for the best.

Good luck to all.

On the train now, just left Grantham. Getting very excited now, some good reviews of the day overall. London here I come! Will report back with how I found it, although from what I've seen, test content is understandibly top secret! Good luck to everyone who has been/ is being tested in London.
