The longer your here the less you fly!, simply not the case, my hours as F/O went up over the years,I did move bases a bit to chase the busy schedulals but that worked and I did 90 hours + in summer and 80+ in winter
It's all about luck where you are and what your roster pattern is, ie if you on an early on a Wednesday you might get the long Canerys runs that month, the next guy might get a Stansted Dublin and back
Things are slowing though as aircraft deliverys are all but over and the sausage factory is still going to be turning out cadets, I know from jumpseating cadets that their really struggling for line training sectors at the moment and its taking a long time to get thru and that equates to earning no money while not safety pilot released and little monty after, there was one cadet recently who had to call it a day and go home as he could no longer afford to sit in hotels not flying
Think very very carefully

I'm just applying now.
I don't see any option for how many exams did you fail? How do they find out?
Under the Licenses and Certificates section on the CAE site I chose CPL/ATPL Frozen as my license but I'm confused as what the expiry date should be?
Before EASA came it was 5 years for a CPL but now its all changed. CAE haven't seemed to have changed there website to reflect EASA.
Any pointers?

I attended the assessmente on 8th JAN. Sim was in Newcastle. Radar dep. Some turns, climb, acceleration. Then QDM interception, emergency on board. NDB procedure.
HR question were more or less the same you can find in this thread. Why RYR, why should we choose you etc etc... Technical question: Jetstream, IRS, GPS, Navigation means of B738, difference between two stroke and four stroke engines. The some question about RYR (fleet, history, bases...). In the end the ask you to choose three bases you'd like to be placed to and your availability.
As of today I'm still waiting for the response.

They want you to be relaxed. They are aware that for the most of us is the first interview and from the beginning they do their best to make you feel well. Frank and John are the captains doing the sim and tech questions. Both very nice. The HR girl is friendly too.
Good luck

My background: modular course, 1 failed atpl-subject and no previous exp in 737. I did my assessment last december and got through!
And yes they ask you to bring your atpl-results to the interview.. I think though the cadet-door is closing after April 2013 and there will be no assessments until further notice after that date..
