The longer your here the less you fly!, simply not the case, my hours as F/O went up over the years,I did move bases a bit to chase the busy schedulals but that worked and I did 90 hours + in summer and 80+ in winter

It's all about luck where you are and what your roster pattern is, ie if you on an early on a Wednesday you might get the long Canerys runs that month, the next guy might get a Stansted Dublin and back

Things are slowing though as aircraft deliverys are all but over and the sausage factory is still going to be turning out cadets, I know from jumpseating cadets that their really struggling for line training sectors at the moment and its taking a long time to get thru and that equates to earning no money while not safety pilot released and little monty after, there was one cadet recently who had to call it a day and go home as he could no longer afford to sit in hotels not flying
