I applied in late January and have heard nothing yet! Are they bothering to write to those not selected? Maybe they're still sorting through the applications and my PFO letter is on its way!

Addy, did you receive a positive answer?
I think loft is for the simulator part of the type rating.
Anyway, did you need the embraer type rating to apply?
Good luck!

Have a look at this thread also for more info on BMI regional recruitment:
http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthr...5&pagenumber=2
They did run an add in FI in early Feb with a closing date of 23Feb. I got a reply but this referred to future recruitment, replied and am waiting for to see if this goes further. As with all companies out there, don't wait till the add appears in Flight Intl. get your CV to them now...it might be just the correct time for it to arrive in the door. The address for CVs to be mailed to in on an earlier post, so go for it!
The LOFT requirement is unusual but I am sure they require it for a reason. I thought MCC usually concludes with a line type flight but not sure if this can be considered in lieu of LOFT proper.

" If offered a position would you be able to start ground school in Aberdeen on Monday morning" i know cos i was able to say yes "
... difficult to say yes if you work ... I can imagine my manager if I tell him on Friday that I'm leaving Sunday afternoon !!!
I can imagine his reaction step by step

Minimum Hours?
Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone got in with less than 500 hrs TT?
Interested as I'm about to finish and will have minimum time only.
Another interesting thing is why 500 Hrs? Surely I am not going to learn a huge amount more by flying around in a single(cause that's all it would be) for another 230 hours!
Any help much appreciated.

hey Wingbar if you think you won't learn much from flying another 230 hours while you are a lowtimer, don't bother with BMI Regional, go and apply for a Captain position with Emirates ... I'm sure they're awaiting your call

Wingbar, when you say that
you are right, cause you wonīt probably learn much, even though you will double your experience, you will still have very little knowlege. But then again you will probably know twice as much as now... I still donīt know very much but surely the more I fly the more i learn

Guys, Gals,
lets not make this into an experience thread,
we all know more experience is better!.
The kid is still new and made a mistake saying so. he is probobly very sorry now so......
lets focus on other things.
Has anyone recieved a reply after sending in the application form from Captain Bell?
