Stick with it. I got a call out of the blue about a year ago based on a 7 month-old application. Passed the interview, screwed up the sim ride. Ho hum....

Will depend on your experience: jet time etc. I had plenty of multi-engine, but only piston. Expect sim to be the Alteon Embraer 145 in Manchester (Didsbury area?).

In my case, training captain occupied LH seat. Take-off, climb, level-off, with appropriate calls/responses (+ve climb, gear up, etc). Fly SID raw data. Can ask captain to call distances, radial crossing, etc if you want, ie use him to make your life easier. Climbing turn to roll out on heading and level off at altitude at the same time. Watch your speed control. Then descending turn back onto original level and heading. Make sure you get that thrust back up to keep speed on level off. Then repositioned to long final. Position frozen and engine shut down, giving you a chance to get it trimmed out SE. Then unfrozen to fly ILS to land. I was given second go at SE ILS, but got unstable again - not good enough...

Never mind, flying 737 now..

Interview help

BMI Regional are right up there on my 'dream sheet' so delighted that (like others before me on this thread) I have received an invitation to interview at short notice based on a 7 month old application. Weekend of cramming ahead - so can anyone point me towards areas to revise for tech exam etc please; PM's welcome. Many thanks.

Apply to BMI Regional...

by E mail to [email protected]

The info on PPJN is correct. Expect raw data flying for the sim ride, the post under Terms of enderment is also correct.

Good luck to those applying, and with a Sim ride to come. It's a great first job and the trainers are all excellent, Enjoy.

bmi regional holding pool

Anyone any news when a type rating course will be starting, I see they having been interviewing lately and doing some sim rides. Is this just to top up the holding pool or is for courses?
