I understand there is a reasonably informal interview, and some questions relating to the embraer aircraft they operate. Why does it have swept wings, why a T-tail etc. I have seen more info on a thread on this site, but can't seem to find it. Try looking through this thread from start to finish.

Thanks HB, belive me I have read it start to finnish last night and made notes of the interesting bits that pop up here and there. I've just been told today that somewhere on pprune there is a post containing the actual test itself, I can tell you it is not on this thread.

I did a lot of research on this too and as far as I could tell the test is not on pprune... however, if you were to look at the Cathay Pacific interview book it would not do you any harm...

The interviewers are pleasant but don't let the niceness fool you into thinking it's informal. They'll ask lots of questions about you, so lots of opportunity to sell yourself but be aware that the content of every answer is "marked". I think the trick is to identify the attributes you want to sell and incorporate them into your answers. They might say "Tell us how you got to where you are now and how you reached your decisions along the way" or "What's the worst thing your friends would say about you?". A very professional text-book interview technique and if you play the game, you should get through.

BMI regional interview
Got an BMI regional interview coming up very soon. Has anyone been through the process recently and can share some of the questions that were asked ?
I assume it's pretty similar to the mainline interview, but latest info appreciated.

Does anyone have any idea how the interview situation is at the moment with bmir? I had an interview in Sept and am still awaiting a date for my sim ride. Is anyone else in this predicament?

Looks like the new aircraft are not coming now for the time being, one 135 in Jan apparently, then no dates/details of when any others will arrive.
Could be in for a bit of a wait unless peolpe move within the company or to another company.

Yeah, I'm in the same position. Had the interview in September - I phoned them a couple of weeks later and they said they would remain in contact but haven't heard anything since......

yeah the rather purple FS is now on the line as of a few weeks ago. No sign of any others on the horizon at the moment as far as the rumours go. Regional are still overcrewed as well, so I'm afraid more paddling for those waiting in the pool.

If you are in the hold pool for Regional then expect a long wait. They are over crewed with no sign of extra aircraft coming. As time passes it is becoming more difficult for Regional to get the aircraft it needs since surplus E135 and E145 airframes are becoming rare!
The dreaded 'R' word is being talked about amongst some of the crew - especially those at the end of the seniority list! Hopefully it won't come to that but the company is paying heavily for the extra crews on its books!

Well apparently we are not overcrewed (not allowing unpaid leave) now and a busy summer schedule awaits. I think they don't want us to take unpaid leave cos Flybe are offering contract work at much higher annual pay. That aside, Regional is a good company to work for and i hope the pool boys and girl find themselves in dry warm flightdeck soon. Oh and make sure you read the Cathay book hint hint.

Just came across this not sure if anyone else has posted it, apologies if it's duplicated elsewhere http://www.flybmi.com/bmi/en-gb/abou...about-bmi.aspx click recruitment, apply for pilots positions, less than 500hrs non-rated click register button and requirements are listed. 100hrs PIC! Wish I was qualified now!

Just went onto the Bond HR website and updated my profile. Reply received on hitting the 'Submit' button was that they're filling their current requirements by taking people out of the hold pool. Will keep profiles on database for 9 months... if situation changes, will contact... etc etc...
Hope this helps,
