Interview question 737 vs Airbus ?

Hi Guys n Girls

I was thinking about interview questions and was thinking about the question....

"so why do we operate Airbus rather than 737's" and vice versa ?

So been digging and trying to find as much as I can on both. So now it's information overload can I ask for some thoughts please.

I would say for Pro Airbus....

Having looked at flight plans etc etc they appear to have a lower fuel load for the same trip that is perhaps operated by a 737, so lower fuel burn?

Airbus historically have offered somewhat amazing financial incentives to get customers not matched by Boeing ?

the fact that the the 318/19/20/21 have the same type rating ?

Pro Boeing .....

still looking into that.....

Are these correct so far and does anyone have anymore they would care to throw in please ?

Thanks in Advance
FS

would you really get that kind of questions at an interview?

As far as I know, the airbusses are cheaper to buy (thats why AirAsia and Air Berlin has chosen them) but they're more expensive to operate than the 737NG.

Sounds like a rather odd interview question to me. The correct answer would be whatever equipment the operator has just ordered.
