what were the assessments like? any changes to the atpl questions?
|
Hello! A beautiful amount of info in this thread already.
I didn't accept the May assessment days, but am thinking of going there during June for the NTR FO B747.
Let's imagine a scenario:
-I suppose the per diems (let's imagine 85USD) are still for every day I am not home (21 days)? Does anyone know how many hours 747 FO's are doing there now per year? And for the salary calculations I suppose I should ask how many flying days per year? Background in RYR so not too afraid of the contractor scheme.. if the compensation is fair. Thanks a ton! |

I dont know regarding compensation during training how that works these days. Courses start regularly. Pay say 21/14, regardless how much you fly during days on base, you get paid 21 days. Not only the days you fly, say 21x350 plus 21x85. Hrs per year somewhere 500-600 hrs a year. Depending on roster pattern. Going on and off base are part of the say 21 day, so paid. Off days off base are real off days. Good luck and maybe see you 😉 |

If I start in the company with 21/14 roster is the company committed to maintain the 21/14 roster (pay) for the 12 months? I got an info packet from AAI yesterday. No dates yet, but I suppose they are gathering interested people until they have enough for a few assessment groups.

There is a high number of Cpt to FO ratio 😃. But there will be a hiring spree soon enough, I am very sure about that. |
Anyone coming to the assessment 24.6? :)
|
I did the assessment yesterday.
It went pretty much as briefed here. It was held in Utrecht, Netherlands. Eight of us there with varying backgrounds, all applying for NTR 747 FO. The day started with a very short briefing on the company. Followed by a quick ATPL questioner, 30min to complete. After that, we were waiting and were called in in a seemingly random order to either do the HR interview or in pairs to the B737 sim. While waiting, we could have quick chats with the representative of Confair. All contract related questions were to made to them. HR interview was very relaxed and more of a pleasent chat. You could ask any ops related questions from them. Simulator was quite straight forward. Fully manual, raw data departure followed by a transition to an ILS approach. Following of radials in and out and frequency changes made it a busy one for the PM also. As there were also guys without 737 experience there was no need to do anything with the upper panel. The Confair representative promised to contact us as soon as the company has done their selection. Now is the most unpleasent part of any recruitment process, waiting. :bored: edit: PASSED the assessment! Hoping to start the OCC and TR soon! |
Congrats on your new position!
If you don’t mind, could you please DM me some details about the contract with Confair? I’m seriously considering applying for the First Officer position as well and would really appreciate any insights. Thanks a lot in advance! |
Re-apply for AIR Atlanta Iceland
Thank you!

Why would you want too reapply, to an outfit, that must have rejected you first time?
I get on my knees only to God. |
OCC
Hey guys,
Anyone with more info about what comes after the assessment if you passed? How does the OCC go, where, how long until type rating and actually start working, test required etcetc Thanks in advance!! P.D. Can confirm all the above about the assessment: walk in the park. Easy going chat, some basic questions (for the older ones among us: refresh what you studied all those years ago just in case) and pretty chill SIM, raw data. Have a good one! |
Air Atlanta still hiring Direct Entry Captains for the B747?
|
According to Airborne Personnel, for now, recruiting type rated B777 and adding pilots to the B747 pool for the near future.

Does anyone know if the recently advertised NTR DEC 747 was genuine or just a recruitment agency trying to drum up interest?
|
There have been any improvement on the Captains daily fee for B777 and B747?

Air Atlanta Interview
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
is anybody able to provide me with updated ATPL questions asked by the AAI interview in Utrecht? I do appreciate your help and support. Thanks and regards. |
Hi guys, selection update from December 25’
Short presentation, very friendly atmosphere from everyone, test with 20 ATPL and 3 math questions, this is what I remember: What does TA stand for According to ICAO who’s in charge of the apron (ACC, aerodrome control, approach, FIR) Normal breathing rate Resuscitation rate (30:2 , 15:4, 20:2 don’t really remember the numbers) What is rate gyro In TCaS II when does an aircraft become proximity traffic With 0.86M at ISA X that is the TAS Then you go either to the interview or sim, that is more of a friendly chat and what they offer and what do you expect, and the sim Departure from MUN 26L vectors to the VOR exit on a radial of the approach chart and ILS nothing more, very easy. Me and my sim partner got selected, they give you an answer the following or in 2 days. Good luck! |
