AIR ATLANTA

Hi guys

Seems that Air Atlanta is opening some vacancies.

Are they expanding the fleet ?

T&C’s, how is it ?

Banana Joe 17th May 2021 13:00

Worlwide contract on offer. The FO average starting pay is 300 USD per day plus 50 USD per day. For CPT the average starting pay is 400 USD per day. Actual pay to be determined according to experience and performance on the assessment and you're paid from the beginning of line training. Travel and accommodation to place of duty paid for by the company and the hotels are of good quality.
I think that after 300 days in the company you can apply for a fixed 3/2 roster.
It's a contractor position, so you have to look after your taxes. For some it can be interesting, for some not.

Two agencies available: Airborne (MHC Aviation) and Confair. Which of the two is the best?

IFLYyouBREATH 17th May 2021 13:03

Boas companheiro,

planning to resume PAX aircraft's

I won't be the HR at the moment, reviewing tons of CVs, even with guys saying they can fly for free in their cover letters.

Airborne, from a very large victory

Banana Joe 17th May 2021 13:16

Could you expand more on that please?

trancada 17th May 2021 13:37

Do you have to pay the type rating ?

trancada 17th May 2021 13:39

Also they operating to some companies :
MAGMA;
SAUDIA;
ASTRAL.

The pilots can be placed aleatory to any of these operations?

Yes, they have 2 options.
  1. Loan from Atlanta Flight Academy (AFA) - Price is $30k - $500 installment each month for 3 years, then the remaining $12k is written off – you will end up by paying $18k for the rating. If you leave within 3 years you need to pay the remainder of the $30k.
  2. Price is $23k - an upfront payment of $15k is required. The remaining amount will be deducted monthly ($667 a month) from the monthly fee within a maximum of one year.

I believe during your rotation you can fly on all the operations. They all fly out LGG, FRA and two of them also out of HHN.

In between sometimes stay in Saudi Arabia,

Banana Joe 17th May 2021 15:52

The Haji season has always been a busy period for Air Atlanta and a nice opportunity for their pilots to make come extra money with overtime pay (it applies above 65 hrs in a 30 day period).

perritopiloto 18th May 2021 21:46

Hi,
Any idea about the assessment? How are they planning to do it during the pandemic?

thanks

SaulGoodman 19th May 2021 06:02

Bear in mind that in case they don’t need you, they will not use you and you don’t get paid as you are essentially a day worker. Something to think about before you fork out for a typerating. The next couple of years should see plenty of work though for the 747F

Ciao Banana, may I ask how that works? Do you mean they fly you out of a port of your choice at the beginning of your rotation, put you in a hotel prior to duty, and then fly you back at the end of your rotation?

Thanks.

The question is, have you?

Pilotfly-FL410 26th May 2021 17:46

Lates news

At this moment I'm still waiting for Air Atlanta Icelandic to go over your details and test scores.
The assessment will take place the 7th,8th,9th,10th and 11th of June at EPST Utrecht the Netherlands.
Assessment will take you 1 full day.
The day will start with a short introduction of what you can expect.

• Technical Test (ATPL)
• Interview
• Simulator Assessment

Technical Test (ATPL)
This test will take half an hour. It consists of multiple choice questions. The question are ATPL.

Interview
The interview will be with Chief Pilot) and Director Crew Resources.
They will not make it difficult for you, but they just want to know you better. It’s like a conversation/chat.

Simulator Assessment
The Simulator Assessment will be done by:
Director Crew Training
They will check if you can fly by Raw data flying. This will be on a B737 NG Simulator.

As the assessment will be at EPST it will be a fixed based Simulator.

DID SOMEONE THE ATPL TEST WITH THE AGENT (Confair.....) ?

Ziga93 27th May 2021 10:21

Any infos about ATPL question and SIM program ?

thanks for replay

Rvsm290 8th June 2021 18:17

I'll be there by Friday. CRP for me.

alekaraba 9th June 2021 02:55

Hi guys, on my way to AMS right now, I got some SIM info: Departing 36L AMS, raw data, no autothrottle, lots of CRM, VOR radials interception, ILS app, no eng fail or any other malfunction, wind 300/10. ATPL info anyone?

Hi all ,

would I be right in assuming that all you guys invited are 747 rated already ?

Pilotfly-FL410 10th June 2021 05:42

Yes, 747 TR..

Pilotfly-FL410 11th June 2021 18:01

Interview :
11 candidates every day ….
15 min for introduction of AAI and the SIM program
30 min ATPL Test, 16 questions only (with answers) -see below
15-20 min Interview (Introduce yourself, What do you know about AAI… no technical question)
40-50 min (each 20min) fix based 737-8 SIM :
- no tricks
- no air work
- TO follow SID Rendi 1Z, leaving PAM on R120 for 1min, left turn to intercept LOC27, landing > change seats.
- Wind 300/10, ceiling ~500ft
> you have enough time for preparation at the briefing room (Cockpit :”As briefed before”), checklist simple
> only fly and switch Radio +NAV +MCP
> we got all the same scenario on this day... other day other SID/STAR ???????
>>> get MS-FSimulator and train on the computer, it helps to get the time felling, when you switch the VOR+MCP.....

conclusion : really friendly environment, no pressure, ATPL question out of daily life, AAI guys are nice (a big compliment to the patience and friendliness > if you will fly there, they are really good colleges)
it is my first interview, which I rate with A+++; other companies should take this as example!!

Hello Pilotfly-FL410, thanks for the great writeup, very helpful.

You mention the ATPL test questions, "ATPL question out of daily life" could you give an example?

Thanks.

Pilotfly-FL410 31st July 2021 09:07

Here some of the questions :

BUT NOTHING IS FOR FREE.... EVERYBODY ALWAYS WANT SOMETHING.... BUT THEY NEVER GIVE SOMETING BACK (PUPLISH NEW QUESTION OR/OR/OR ..)
I am sick of it ! I always spend hours and hours to write down, paint, screenshots, video record and so on... does one of you do the same after the interview ? or send me a update (that's the minimum !!!!)
I got only stupid comments (talk stupid and publish nothing)

Second : i always get some PM, but I'm unable to write back > “writers ...exceed available storage limits...“
>
a FO should be able to handle his own postbox before he handle a big machinery !

Interview : only 16 multiple choice questions in 30min

AAI SCREENING & ATPL TEST QUESTIONS

Thanks Pilotfly-FL410! Appreciated all your inputs on this.

Does anyone who has been to the AAI screening - any advice/input? I'm screening in August.
Does anyone have more ATLANTA ATPL questions?....
Input/advice appreciated.

Dear Colleagues,
i got the Info, that all the questions (Test) was the same as I published …

where are the feed backs ?
only Take and no Return !!

it is really sad, that everybody take my infos…. And doesn’t return anything for the next guys….

shame on you…

it this behavior a good way for CRM ?

for the groundcourse with AAI, I give only information to the guys who wrote me back (only 2)
for the others, have to fight with the daily tests and the CBT..

FO: good results in the CBT and groundcourse will rise the upgrade possibility for CPT !!!

joblessPilot 4th September 2021 23:17

There is not much to write since you typed up all the info including the approach plate, which they changed. They probably going to change it again.

OrangeAgent 4th September 2021 23:22

Can guarantee Air Atlanta don't give feedback on why you fail and they only hired pretty much all the type rated guy on the august interview, few non-rated FO (if I remember correctly), zero guys for the cruise relief pilot.

744 NOMAD 10th September 2021 09:23

We appreciate your efforts Pilotfly-FL410! It helped me a lot.

Screening: Regarding the previously written up information I have some very important comments/additions:
1. The pre-screening "Psych/aptitude tests" provided by the 2 agencies are TOTALLY different!
2. SIM - B737 (NG) EGKK (LGW) ILS26 Dep WIZAD 4M 5000 feet to MAY for an Arrival from MAY - using INITIAL APPROACH ILS 26L. Hand flown using Raw Data VOR/ILS CDI. No use of FMC fixes etc.No "air work" i.e., steep turns, QDR/QDM no intercepts...
