9g Tie-down
Some Airline has this peculiar requirement thats recommended by Boeing. Any Rigid Cargo with weight or 5K and more will require a 9G tie-down or must be cushioned with loaded units of frangible cargo up to 96" height in the first 7 forward position in the MD.
Any clue?

Yeah... use a lot a straps.... multiply your cargo weight by 9, then divide by the strap rating to give the required tie-downs. One strap equals two tie downs if you attach it floor to floor, one if from pallet to floor.
Sounds like another SQ stupidity.

Thats a nasty job doing a 9 g tie down ...........
especially if you dont have your straps under lock and key !!
Don t you expect the flights to be fully fitted with frangible cargo
in the 1st 7 positions?
Good luck
