Help!! How To Secure 9g Tie Downs
Anyone can guide me on how to secure a 9G tie down onto Rigid Cargo on a B747F?
|
9G??? What for?
Max required per W & B manual is 2.1 vertical... |
9g Tie-down
Some Airline has this peculiar requirement thats recommended by Boeing. Any Rigid Cargo with weight or 5K and more will require a 9G tie-down or must be cushioned with loaded units of frangible cargo up to 96" height in the first 7 forward position in the MD.:{ Any clue?

PM SENT.
Good luck WA:ok: |
Yeah... use a lot a straps.... multiply your cargo weight by 9, then divide by the strap rating to give the required tie-downs. One strap equals two tie downs if you attach it floor to floor, one if from pallet to floor.
Sounds like another SQ stupidity. :suspect: |

9g tie down
Hi 42ongo
That's exactly the issue. No frangible cargo units in the 1st 7 forward.:ugh: |
Employ a Loadmaster then you have no problems!!!!!!
|
The boeing manual shows a special net to use if there is no fragable cargo.
