Evergreen isn't buying the -400's. TNT is.

Evergreen fly's 'em because labor is so cheap for TNT. TNT did the same thing in the early 1990's with Evergreen DC-8' flying between Colgne and New York.

Angry Angryblackman Truly Shows His....colors.....

That's exactly why evergreen pilots are whores...

I DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND IS ABM, BUT I DOUBT HIGHLY THAT YOU ARE ONE WHO OPERATES WITH ANY RESPECT AND DIGNITY.

Instead of dishing out the punishment to that old man (Delford Smith), you pilots suck up to him and take the punishment year after year. ...Your whores.

DISHING OUT PUNISHMENT TO THE MAN IS WHAT COST EASTERN AMONG MANY OTHER THINGS GENIUS, PLEASE NEVER LEAD ANY MEC IN NEGOTIATIONS.

You even go to his management meetings at recurrent or initial training and stand there with your hands over you heart pledging the allegiance to the flag like elementary school children. What kind of crack are you smoking down there in Hootterville, Oregon you idiots?

INITIAL NEW HIRES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A MEETING, AND THIS IS BAD HOW? I DOUBT ANYONE IS SALUTING ANYTHING LIKE LITTLE SCHOOLCHILDREN, BUT IF ATTENDING A MEETING IS SMOKING CRACK, THEN PLEASE LOWER THE PRICES OF YOUR CRACK BAGS OTHERWISE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO FIND A DIFFERENT DRUG DEALER WHICH WOULD PROBABLY MAKE YOU AN EVEN ANGRIERBLACKMAN!!!

You have two executives named SMITH, who start two different cargo airlines. One is named Del and the other is named Fred.

Fred runs a multi-billion dollar worldwide airline business that hires pilots with a four-year college degree (no exceptions) and many with a master's degree with prior military experience. And pay six figure incomes to all his pilots and many of his mechanics.

HATS OFF TO FRED SMITH AND ANY FEDEX PILOT FOR BEING PRIVELAGED TO WORK THERE! LIKE UPS AND SWA WHO ALSO CURRENTLY RULE THE AIRLINE WORLDS, I DOUBT ANY OF THEM HAD EASY ROADS OR OPERATED WITH LESS THAN STELLAR COMPENSATION OR CONDITIONS AT SOME POINT.

Del runs a million dollar half-ass airline from the middle of no-where Oregon with beat up B-747's from the used market. To cheap to buy new airplanes, and has pilots who many still have only High School diplomas and no college. ...That's why there at Evergreen and not at Fed Ex.
Evergreen pays substandard wages that takes over 12 years of misery to break 100,000 dollars a year, assuming your a Captain and have not been either fired or laid off by former managers like Robert Warren - a pure A-hole.

HEY ANGRYBLACKCRACKDEALER, DOES IT MATTER WHERE AN AIRLINE HQ IS BASED? THE AIRCRAFT MOVE AND GO WHERE THEY ARE NEEDED, I HAVE BEEN TO BOTH MEM AND SDF AND NEITHER IS A SINGAPORE, HONG KONG OR LAX MAJOR SHIPPING PORT, BUT FEDEX AND UPS HAVE MADE THEM WORK. EVERGREEN MAY NOT BE A FEDEX AND HAVE OLDER AIRPLANES, BUT DEL AND HIS PILOTS ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO HAVE SECURED A 20 YEAR CONTRACT FOR BOEING TO TRANSPORT THE NEW 787. LIKE IT SAYS ON THE EVERGREEN CONTRACT."BOEING TRUSTS EVERGREEN WITH THE 787".....BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT EVERGREEN'S DECADES OF TRANS-PACIFIC 747 EXPERIENCE COUNTS ALONG WITH A HIGHSCHOOL DIPLOMA, BECAUSE IM SURE BOEING RUNS DELLS WITH MICROSOFT XP OS's THAT COME FROM TWO OTHER GUYS WITH ONLY HIGHSCHOOL DIPLOMAS.....
I AGREE WITH YOU THAT EVERGREEN WAGES ARE NOT WHERE THEY SHOULD BE, AND THAT IS THE CHALLENGE AT EVERY AIRLINE, THAT IS HOW TO STRIKE A BALANCE WITH PROFITABILITY WHILE SECURING GOOD WAGES, JOB SECURITY, GOOD SCHEDULING, AND THIS ALL STARTS WITH THE TOP PEOPLE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TABLE, UNTIL THE ABOVE COMES INTO PLAY THE TROOPS HAVE TO WORK WITH WHAT THEY HAVE.......I THINK THIS IS ALL A PROCESS OF EVOLUTION AT EVERY WORK PLACE THAT HAPPENS AND HAS TO CONTINUE TO HAPPEN.`

Fed Ex pilot will retire with a hefty pension, Evergreen pilots will retire with nothing but what they saved in their 401K-scam plan that Del gave them.

Who's running the Evergreen Crew Member association; you know... the one Del Smith put on the property after he ran off the teamsters union back in 1995? Is former manager, Bob Chapman running the do-nothing-unless-Del says-so-union?

Until you quit and find real jobs or have the balls to turn Evergrim into Fed Ex...your whores.

YOU SEEM TO KNOW QUITE A BIT ABOUT EVERGREEN, HAVE YOU WORKED THERE BEFORE? IF SO, I'D LIKE TO WAGER A MONTH'S SALARY ON THIS WEBSITE THAT YOU DONT HAVE THE LITTLE BLACK BALLS TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF TO THEM, BECAUSE IF YOU DO HAVE ANY DIGNITY OR RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS, YOU WOULDNT HAVE SPEWED SUCH BAD BREATH.

BOTTOM LINE, THERE ARE GREAT AIRLINES AND THERE ARE THOSE THAT ARE TRYING TO GET BETTER. SOME TAKE-OFF QUICKER THAN OTHERS, WHILE OTHERS SINK A BIT LOWER FOR ANY NUMBER OF REASONS, BUT THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT IF A PILOT ENDS UP AT A PLACE WITH LESS THAN DESIRABLE CONDITIONS BECAUSE OF FURLOUGH OR WHATEVER, HE OR SHE IS PUTTING FOOD ON THE TABLE AND REMAIN FLYING AND CURRENT. IM NOT SAYING THAT ALL PILOTS AT THE NON-SKEDS ARE GREAT AND SOME TRULY DONT HAVE BACKBONES AND WILL NOT HOLD THEIRSELVES TO PROFESSIONAL OPERATING STANDARDS, BUT I AM SURE THAT ANY PILOT AT SAID NON-SKED WILL SAY THAT THEY REPRESENT THE MINORITY AND NOT THE MAJORITY.

EVERGREEN IS NO WORSE OFF THAN CONTINENTAL AIRLINES WAS BACK IN THE LORENZO DAYS, BUT ID DOUBT THAT YOU WOULD CALL ANY B777 CAPTAIN AT CONTINENTAL A WHORE FOR REMAINING STEADFAST TO HIS PROFESSION, TO HIS FAMILY AND TO HIS FELLOW PILOTS BY REMAINING CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONALS THROUGH ONE OF THE TOUGHEST PERIODS IN THAT AIRLINE'S HISTORY. THEY ARE TO BE COMMENDED, AND SERVE AS AN EXAMPLE, AND HOPEFULLY THE EVERGREEN GROUP OF AVIATORS WILL ACHIEVE SIMILAR SUCCESS, BECAUSE IN THE LONG RUN NEITHER GROUP ARE WHORES.

THE ONLY WHORES HERE ARE THOSE THAT ARE "ANGRY" BECAUSE THE QUALITY OF THEIR LIFE IS DEPENDANT ON THE MONEY THAT THEY MAKE BECAUSE THEY DERIVE NO HAPPINESS, FULFILLMENT, OR SENSE OF PROFESSIONALISM OUTSIDE THE "BENJAMINS THAT THEY MAKE"

I think Angryblackman worked for Evergreen years ago and has not been able to see what is going on now. He was speaking about Bob Warren who is now gone, Chapman has not been in charge of the union in a while and is turning 60 in Jan or Feb. Things are changing here at Evergreen, but change is taking a while. The Boeing contract is great and we have heard that there are -400's on the way for the airline also. The old -100's are going to be going away and if he can get his hands on cheap -200's I don't see what the big problem is. From what angryblackman is saying we are going to be flying the TNT-400's? I have not heard that! I don't know where he gets his twisted info from but I wish him luck in what ever he is doing.

For the angryblackman, a little info. Fed Ex does not require a college degree for hiring. Go to the Fed Ex web site and check it out.

I don't work for Evergreen.
AngryBlackMans grammar skills are certainly not college level. If he has a "college degree", he obviously bought it from the back of mad magazine.

I'm quite certain I would rather be at a party with Evergreen folks than ABM.
College degrees don't make a Pilot. Look at how many accidents and incidents the Fed-Ex boys and girls have to show for their college degrees. Thats not something to write home to momma about.

Happy New Year!

Go to the Fed Ex web site and apply there. Good luck.
And with the slam on the Fed Ex guys and their college degrees; when you consider the amount of flying that Fed Ex does and the odd ball places they go at times, I would say the record is darn good. Fed Ex flies more in a day than Evergreen does in a year.

What ODD Ball places? FED-EX has 600+ jets. EIA has 13 747s + two on the way and the LCF.

Evergreen isn't buying B747-400's.
Years ago Del Smith would place an order for a -400 while on the production line, then as the delivery date approached, he'd turn around and sell the airplane to whomever was deperate enough for one. He never had any intention of owning one.
Del couldn't afford the parts for one let alone the lease payments.
Del's got to pay for that museum in Hootterville, (no-where) Oregon.

Check out the Fed Ex route charts and you will see some pretty wild spots. Reading through the LIDO charts, there were warnings all over the place, especially in Alaska, Asia, and the South Pacific.
