Sorry man but my experience (although not a flight manager) tells me another story. You mean engs and load master going out when aircraft is back to Kiev? Yep, that's true.

And anyway, what is the reason to send LMs and GEs to hotel if their dutytime is what no one ever counts.

antonovman is correct.

AFH/ADB loading crews ALL go to the hotel when the off load/arrival is finished. Prior to loading the loading crew all come back out.
As the LM and the GE are part of the loading crew, that applies to them as well. What Volga et all, do, is something I cannot comment on.
It has been known in some dodgy parts of the world for a couple of crew to stay on board, buts that the exception not the rule.
Of course, when they get back to Kiev they all go home.

cheers

Just to confirm this is not solely the practice of ADB / HLA, I've worked as a flying wallet on both Titan and Polet, and their crews all go to a hotel for crew rest, althaugh I think in the very early days of the aircraft working in the west it was only flight crew who went to hotels, but that was years ago.

i don't know where people get this idea from that the technicians sleep on the a/c and never go to a hotel
on the an124 the techs can be out flying for up to 3 months, do you expect them to do 3 months away from home without going to a hotel ?
strange

Angry Giving out too much info

Antonovman, I am a little suprised that you are keen to advertise your movements and that of the AN22. Isn't it the only one of it's type. Thought this might be a bit of a security issue !

OK, may be I'm wrong
However the last An22 tunaround I've seen was featuring all non-flight crew to stay onboard for ~18 hours, arrived empty and then loading selfpowered trucks (all loading took 2 hrs).
