hkadaily 6th May 2009 11:05

I am trying to find out where "BANGCOCK" or "JACKCARTE" are. My map must be out of date.

raptor12 7th May 2009 04:24

ACTING means CAD does not accept the snake heads as the title holder.

asianpilot 2 7th May 2009 09:43

It is like in the Movies isn't it. Lots of Actors.
Dick Stew's name sake a renowned Hollywood actor.
Last two management teams were never actors so they failed in their roles.
They should have gone to Drama school.
Acting is a norm CAD impose on new AOC holders these days.It is like the 6 months probation.
See below, even HKE's DFO and GMF are acting. They are going through Drama class now.
Watch out for Dick LKC, he's watching all of you in HKG.
If you screw up, go aorund RWY25, he'll clobber you as you pass "GO"
You can call his VOR number 1132
Have you heard HB (ex-know it all TRE from GR and NH era) failed his Left Seat check on the A306.
Even NH not helping him as he did for Cam. F/O Test Pilot.
Good work Chief Pilot who is now putting plugs on the influx of TRASH from HKA thrown out by the Singas.

Please join us to congratulate both Captain Ciechanowicz and Captain Haveaux on

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Captain Lui for his contributions to
the Company during his service and wish him a happy retirement.

raptor12 7th May 2009 16:29

your explanation is really naive, the acting situation have not happened at the other side of the cnac house and also across the road. people are clapping hands to see the leaving of Lui as retirement is just a nice term for him to be sacked according to chinese culture.

hkadaily 20th May 2009 10:21

why is it that the victims of the latest rounds of sackings have been put into 2 groups?

Group 1: sacked but still getting paid???!!!

Group 2 : sacked and will not see a single cent from HKA?

Can anyone guess who are in Group 1?

wonganopolous 20th May 2009 13:25

FYI Daily, Group 1 STILL waiting to be paid!!!! They haven't seen one cent of payout yet, except for the obligatory monthly salary....... Singas are trying to save their pennies for a rainy day.

hongkongfooey 21st May 2009 03:18

Enough of all the negativity guys.............................

Now when does the first A330 arrive  ?

Sleeve_of_Wizard 21st May 2009 08:50

25th January, 2008. That was the first post in this Thread.......... So, when is the Demise of Hong Kong Airlines? Seems like there isn't one................ but it's good reading.

hongkongfooey 21st May 2009 14:51

Actually Sleeve, 7 a/c down to 2, and not one Airbus in sight, numerous incidents etc etc hardly qualifies the thread for " the rise of hong kong airlines " now does it ?

Sleeve_of_Wizard 21st May 2009 15:02

True true!! I was just referring to the total demise......... my bad.

hkadaily 21st May 2009 15:29

Wonganopolous,

"FYI Daily, Group 1 STILL waiting to be paid!!!! They haven't seen one cent of payout yet, except for the obligatory monthly salary....... Singas are trying to save their pennies for a rainy day."

Could you please clarify that even though "group 1" has been fired they are still on HKA payroll? Whereas "group 2" have also been fired but not paid a cent?

hkadaily 22nd May 2009 01:32

"Hainanair 6509" A340-600

Interesting to see the Hainan A340-600 flying today under the Hainanair 6509 callsign around 9am this morning. Accent of pilots was distinctively mainland Chinese and not singasnake. (Not a hiss to be heard!)

K.Y.J. Lee 22nd May 2009 23:15

HKA Makes It's Mark

Good to see that HKA now features on the HKG Jeppesen Airport Chart 10-9. The have added a HKA Memorial "Hotspot" at the junction of Taxiway A and the holding point of runway 07L.

It's even in the distinctive red livery of HKA!!!!

:D

hkadaily 23rd May 2009 01:12

yes the new GMF should be very proud of this recognition by Jeppesen!

Well done dickstew!

snakeslugger 23rd May 2009 07:46

I see Dickie 'kumpot' Lai is now an Instructor at HKA...I didn't know they have weetbix down in sanya. HKCAD is just a  joke endorsing this loser. Also a new F/O starting his training....I hope he has significant widebody experience for the arrival of the A330's:yuk:

Dickie...ha ha ha you will be the author of your own demise:{

intelligentpilot 24th May 2009 09:27

I thought it was only the Singaporeans that lied through their a$$es

Hong Kong Airlines, a subsidiary of HNA Group, planned to develop long-haul routes to European destinations in the next six months despite the current downturn in air traffic, its president said yesterday.
Oh really. I thought the CAD needed to approve that. Not a chance in hell with your past record of rostering, pilot management, training and incidents. In the next 6 months…DREAMING BOYS!. Where did you guys get your management experience? A corn flakes packet?

The airline plans to take delivery of five aircraft in the next year - three Airbus 330s and two A320s.
I will believe it when I see it.

Losses at Hong Kong Airlines and sister company Hong Kong Express Airways had been sharply reduced, falling 75 per cent in the first four months from the same period last year, Mr Yang said.
That’s strange, the story we were fed was profits were down since this time last year hence the forced pay cut.

This had been achieved through laying off pilots and cabin crew and reducing capacity by 30 to 40 per cent this year. However, Mr Yang did not provide any financial figures.
Losing 6 aircraft to Hainan because you can not secure and sustain routes. This is called reducing capacity? Did not provide financial figures… what a surprise. Nothing this company does is above board.

Mr Yang confirmed reports that Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express, both partially owned by HNA, were considering a merger.
Really? is that why the CAD told the Singaporeans to keep their dirty hands off HKE, and HKE is moving OUT of the HKA/HKE airport briefing office and moving back to citygate (without HKA)

Hong Kong Airlines, which operates eight Boeing 737-800 aircraft, and Hong Kong Express, which has six B737-800s, fly to about 20 destinations through code-sharing programmes.
LIES LIES LIES. Blatent lies. HKA has 2 aircraft. HKE has 5 or 4 at the end of this month.

Mr Yang denied reports that casino mogul Stanley Ho Hung-sun planned to offload his 25 per cent stake in Hong Kong Express.
Is that why the EX DFO lying Singaporean puppet Lui told us all to our face that Stanley has indirectly sold his 25% stake. (perhaps one of those typical Asian deals.. some dodgy shelf company owned by Hainan with Stanley’s name on it owns this 25% stake) But then again Lui and the Singaporeans have in the past had absolutely no problem lying to your face with a smile, even when they know; you know; what they say is bull$hit.

That article has more lies, bull$hit and propaganda than anything I have read this week. :yuk:

sim01 29th May 2009 04:56

Come on guys , why so quiet ?? Something is definately going on with HKA or is everybody scared sh1ttless ?? So who has a decent pair of nuts or at least a pair of nuts , no takers , thought so

Doodles 1st Jun 2009 15:58

HKA has 2 aircraft. HKE has 5 or 4 at the end of this month.
And getting less and less each month! If you don't pay your bills you have to hand aircraft back or have them repossessed - quite simple really and guess what - it's happening and the fleet is dissapearing!!

Difficult to expand when there's no-one left to borrow from I'm afraid
