Hypocrites

Someone I know is on SO course at the moment at CX, yes he broke the ban. With him on course are 2 SO upgrading to FO. Apparently he has been getting the cold shoulder from these two. Can someone PLEASE explain to me why this is not hypocrisy. How it is not OK for him to join as an SO but OK for them to take upgrades to FO! Not one SO was fired but there were FO 49ers. This REALLY does not make any sense at all! A serious case of do as I say, not as I do!

BMM -

I dont disagree with you but your friend is a bit out of order complaining about getting the 'cold shoulder'.
The AOA has always advocated a 'professionally courteous' approach to the replacement workers. That is to say adhere to SOPs etc but dont go socialising etc.
I dont agree with the ban - thats my opinion - but the AOA has been steadfast in their policy and I applaude them for that. Your friend knew what he/she was getting into. Its a bit rich getting annoyed now.

Thumbs down You are kidding !

What do you expect from a bunch of spoiled pilots who have thrown the dummy out of the pram and can't be a**ed to work out how to pick it up again !

When a self interested minority of wealthy people can coerce the majority into padding their Provident Fund for their approaching retirement and control the Union; what can a bunch of normal guys & gals do!

These insular people should look at the industry in the rest of the world and realise that they are in the Rose House. So sit back and enjoy the experience and for god sake stop compromising the safety of the airline & its passengers.......

Your continuing Airbus Flap retraction errors mentioned a while ago in the press here are a FLAG !!!

Safety First ............ or is it salaries !!!!

Believe it or not, they are compatable !!!!

two lines of thought here..one..if you have ever put a lot of time and effort into a job, or career as a lot of the cx blokes have, it's very painful to watch new managers and such come in and ruin the whole operation with no apparent benefit to the very company to which you have dedicated a large portion of your career trying to make a better place..so in this light, it is understandable that folks at cx might be a bit disappointed..but...in the same light, the same people seem quite ready to discount the possibility that newbies might very well be ready to contribute in a very positive way to the cause...so as before..the unions need to revamp their archaic methods of improving their lot, they are in many ways their own worst enemy.

Jungly. My friend was just telling me about the reception he had received. He was under no illusions about the reception he might get from some(the minority it seems). Was'nt complaining, the post below is my opinion, not his.
