Cathay Pacific slashes flights to Australia

Cathay has scrubbed all flights to Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, while Sydney drops to around two services per week.

Definitely nothing to do with crew shortages. No, siree!

The hole dug by the crew management ‘bosses’ will take years to climb out of.

Providing they stop digging, but then again, these clowns just can’t help themselves

It’s the beginning of the end …

The hole dug by the management who are leaving and being replaced by FO's. They are being left to struggle with the nightmare of old. Cycle will continue if the airline doesn't go down the drain.

They do not need to stop digging. When the crewing situation gets critical it will be somebody else’s problem as the management roundabout turns.

Time for the Jelly Fish to step down, he’s done more than enough damage already.

I wonder if these pilots that are posting pictures on their social media, posting comments on yammer, agreeing "strongly" with comments etc are going to finally grow a pair and... Take some well deserved time off!
All it requires is an appointment, email and a backbone!

But alas. The moaning will continue, the pictures will get posted, the loops will be full, PB will fill up - rinse and repeat.

Other airlines pay hazard pay to fly to Hong Kong.
The job has probably gotten twice as long and hard (thats what she said) on a work day, on off days, you're still working getting tests and wrapping your head around the latest changes.
All the while getting shafted on cos18.
Flying with psychologically challenged crew.

They must be laughing on the third floor, wondering why they didn't try this before..
The only ones staying will have high percentage of the weak and the desperate.

If there isn't a time to shut this mickey mouse flying club down, it is now... Wheres the AOA? Pricing microwaves?

Who do you think provides suggestions to the government about further tightening the screws? Not the CHP, they’re too busy trying to start a fire by banging two rocks together.

The company is providing recommendations to the government to maintain/increase exemptions. In other words, they’re gambling with your mental health to keep operations going.

All the “support” provided by the company is meaningless unless the root cause is addressed, and unfortunately that will never happen.
