Not that it'd necessarily be appropriate in this case (you have to have someone you REALLY don't like) but a Mackerel (or a few) in a mailbox or safe deposit box odiforously makes the point of one's extreme displeasure.

Anything you have carried over from the previous year they will honour. For the 6 weeks you are owed from this leave year they will pro-rata what you are owed. So if you will work 9 months of the ‘leave year’ they will give you 4.5 weeks leave. They will then roster that as your final 4.5 weeks of your 90 days notice. You’ll also get two office days to hand in all your uniform, iPad, CMC etc. This doesn’t have to be done on these ODs. Just anytime after your last flight.

Not necessarily 100% true.

Ask around...some guys got leave allocated and then resigned. Their allocated leave was more than their entitlement at the time of resignation (ie. 4 weeks leave consumed vs only entitled to 1 week) and they got a nice bill from accounts to pay them back.
What a great leaving present

What I find rather hypocritical is all the talk of NOT complying with your contract, yet demanding that the company comply with your contract. You can imagine the outcry if the company said we don't need you anymore goodbye and no 3 month payment in lieu.

in HK none. They can withhold the balance of your notice period from your CPF/ provident fund, but they can’t stop you from ‘buying out’ early

Two individuals who left last year related their experience to me. They had new job offers, but both required them to start in six weeks from the notification date. Visited the office and explained their situations. They were told they "must" comply with their three months notice, no exceptions allowed. Ok...., booked off sick for the next 3 months....started their new jobs and even got paid for the full three months (even though they only wanted to be paid for the six weeks they originally requested). Another own goal by CX management. Muppets. As one of them explained to me, they were hardly going to compromise their new career for the one that had so badly let them down over the years. No brainer.
When I retired from CX early some years ago I worked the full three months. When I went to say goodbye to the crew controllers one of the senior guys who I knew quite well said he thought I was the only one to give notice who had not gone sick for most of the three months.
Felt a bit silly really !!!

"repatriation ticket"
Anyone hired after the demise of B scale does not get ANY repatriation assistance. No air ticket, no baggage, no nothing. Local terms. For expats. Enjoy.

Flex88 as usual the retort is "management" whenever there is a differing opinion. The talk I was referring to on here is the "don't give 3 months notice just walk", well what if the company did the same!
As for booking off sick for three months which Doctor supplied the fraudulent sick note, if they were fit enough to start work 6 weeks later. All good stories wonder how many are just urban legends, spouted by those really vocal posters on Fragrant Harbour telling people to leave, but don't have the courage of their convictions to leave themselves!
