Two individuals who left last year related their experience to me. They had new job offers, but both required them to start in six weeks from the notification date. Visited the office and explained their situations. They were told they "must" comply with their three months notice, no exceptions allowed. Ok...., booked off sick for the next 3 months....started their new jobs and even got paid for the full three months (even though they only wanted to be paid for the six weeks they originally requested). Another own goal by CX management. Muppets. As one of them explained to me, they were hardly going to compromise their new career for the one that had so badly let them down over the years. No brainer.
