To vote yes is, fairly clearly, to give up any leverage over the company for the foreseeable future.
There will be no CC/TB unless we decide to cancel this agreement and abandon the meagre salary raise, 25 years housing (-ish) and HKPA raise, which most will not want to do in the future when (not if) the company starts having a go at our contracts again.
In essence, this amounts to completely disarming the HKAOA, pretty much forever, or at least long enough for the company to unleash their worst. And this is exactly what they want.
This is not what anyone wanted to hear, but this is a choice between the status quo and spending the rest of our careers here facing a bully with our hands tied behind our back.
To save our lunch money today is to lose it for the rest of the week (month/year, decade,...).

There is nothing that is in this TA that is worth even half of giving up our only leverage for the next three years. Voted NO (the only sensible vote).

Here is a buried got ya #27 for the ARAPA. Level 1 assistance...(Where a senior FO or Captain can rent upto around 110K if they pay 8% of the rental amount)
If the TA is voted in then abolishment of Level 1 assistance will happen. That means we are funding our own 25 year extension at a hefty cost. and without the flexibility to buy or sell once beyond the 15years.
This should be preserved as a fall back incase the trail fails ( which it probably will).
If you were thinking yes.....maybe you should clarify that if it applies to you or will apply to you. It is a hefty perk that will be removed after your years of struggle to earn it!
Can you really afford to give anything else away. We have all lost a lot and this deal means losing more. Its a total scam and not worth mirage of wealth and lifestyle increases they promise.
This deal assures a decline in your benefits in the long term for a perceived short term gain.
outstanding issues like statutory pay and by pass pay will never be dealt with, and that will cost you more in the long run than a bit of back pay.
I am surprised how many industrially fatigued pilots are voting yes because they perceive they will never get a win in this industry. Some people are destined to be slaves and need to submit and be told what's good for them by there rulers.
Very surprising for a so called intelligent bunch of professionals
