You are SO RIGHT Dumbo! You'd never catch a CX pilot turning up for the Sim in a T Shirt, or behaving at all inappropriately. Perish the thought.
Same goes for the CCMs.
CX = Pure Class.
CX Crew show us all how it's done.

Ishmal.. you're a hoot.
Given all the TRUE things that have been publically reported, never mind the stuff I hear from mates who worked there (briefly.. as they have too much self respect to be party to HKA's reality) the one way they are allowed to operate is thru corruption and pay offs to the CAD.
Should the entire company be forced to do proper sims with impartial instructors the airline would cease to operate.
Anyone working there knows they are sub par. If they were better, and had standards they would be somewhere better.. You may not want to admit that, but its the truth.
HKA is only a place for substandard misfits.

Interesting to me that so many here love to bash those who choose to work at HKA as being "sub-standard". Yet, the source for the news article CHOSE to leave Awesome Airlines to go to HKA. Somehow, he gets a free pass just because he left.
So, Cathay didn't meet this guys standards either. He left, right? I guess all the guys remaining at CX are a bunch of losers, then.
No worries, I'm sure that God's gift to aviation will have great success at showing the guys in the ME how to do things the right way. They seem to be quite flexible that way and favoritism towards locals certainly must be non-existent there.

Ishmael, any decent lawyer most probably would advise you not to waste your time or money. Take that anyway you want.

Without getting too much into his personal life, when a A scalers hits 55 he can take his Provident fund (super large amount) OR sign a B scale contract get way less money.
His move from CX was one of financial sense, and I'm quite sure that he never envisioned HKA could have been so operated so illegally/deceitfully when he joined. Once finding out, he attempted to right the ship, could not, and left.

Play the ball bud, not the player. Otherwise you just come off as a whiny brat. Are you saying that HKA is a stellar place to work with a great safety record and culture?

Haaa, this place just goes from bad to worse!
OEB, Ishmal, Jefcaw320...well who has egg on their faces now?
You all stood by telling us here that HKA is so upstanding, let's take a look at the last few wonderful things happening here at HKA.
- Training Captain that forged his credentials on the way out after been there for what...3years?
- The infamous lowlife that has made HKA such a disaster Mr DFO might actually finally get his marching orders
- HR and JM resigned from the debacle
- Sister HKE such a wonderful safety leader...for each ASR techies file they lose 25% of yearly bonus!!!
And in walk the new ex China Airlines in-bred leaders...yup they know, look at the history of obvious madness from KL, the man is lost in space and he is going to head training? God help us.

How did the story continue? with Alarming numbers?
I read the whole thread, with the last post on Sept. 2013. A year ago that is.
I came across this article: 'Alarming' number of pilots quit Hong Kong Airlines, and also came across a hiring email that HKA are hiring aggressively.
Anyone can shad some light over this, and give some more details about how the "story" continued from last September till today?
Safe flights

I spoke with a friend who was at HKA but left a while ago due all the reasons known to those with a clue about standards and safety..... Apparently the numbers of pilots resigning is or was far more than advertised. The DFO hid the real numbers by falsely categorising many resigned pilots as on LWP. And "apparently" this was done as the parent company was not happy with these attrition numbers. So as per HKA's reputation: cover up, deny, deny, deny.
I recently heard of a management shake up and that at last the parent company (HNA) has had enough and axed the senior management: COO, DFO, and a few others. Any truth to this?
(I looked into HKA a long time ago and after seeing the real facts am glad to have avoided it).
