Sorry about the thread hijack

Do all these FIGJAMS "wowing" us with their knowledge of the 3 times table know they are sending their company emails to the entire pilot group?

I suspect they are good at multiplying by 3, but Shiite at email skills. Perhaps they need to have a quiet chat to an I-cadet and get some counselling on emailing skills

And no I don't need a discussion on descent management- thanks, I have some eyeballs to pop-out with a burnt stick.

I think that they probably do, Liam.

Everybody that I know has had trouble getting a certain person to respond to any emails at all. I think it is great that everyone is getting these messages, from the very top down: that way they can see the ineffectiveness of their manger (sic) and of the pilots' opinion of him and of the system.

If you are not based, Liam, then they plainly don't apply to you.

Maybe not everyone is getting these emails because I sense Chinaflyer has not read them.

I am not sure if the "here here" was a p!ss-take or a kiss-@rse, but I am sure it was a waste of 15 secs of life that I won't get back...... Kind of like reading this post

I was so tempted to write to FOPDL ... ie the whole pilot body ..

"You know what chaps I am so fantastic at what I do, no one else can match me. I do find it boring watching the rest of you trying to emulate me and failing so dismally. Anyone requiring any tips ....do please get in touch so that I can bore you to death regarding how awesome I am"

...... un .... be .... frinkin ..... believable!!!! This is CX training at it's finest

What I found totally hilarious is that I have flown with one of those email FIGJAM's.........One of the worst operators I have sat next to.

I can't believe our respective Fleet Offices sit by and let a few SkyGods be so utterly condescending and nauseating to the WHOLE of the pilot body.
My inclination on the flightdeck to someone telling me I wasn't as good at my 3X table as he was would be to tell him to off.
Their wives must be so thankful that they spend half the month away from home!!

Sorry I must chip in

Many of those replies are completely justified.
Thank heavens some of our Snr pilots have the balls to voice important opinion (while giving their names unlike on here) not only directly to our managers but also to the wider pilot body. This way to drum up abit of opposition to what is becoming a 'loss' of a major controlling , decision making aspect of our profession.

It is a real worry is this complex world of Aviation where the new buss word in 6th generation CRM is resilience engineering. (creating buffer ie time = extra fuel ) that we at cx are infact doing the opposite. It's only a matter of time before a mayday.. min fuel ends up in trouble.

Fuel is expensive thats why the punters pay a high priced ticket, many of those in the front end are also cost sensitive and choose cx for good value. They need to get to xyz at the said time to attend meetings the same day. They do not want to end up in zyx because Cpt 'BT' has decided to take less than CFP. To drum up his ego... How selfish. It's a worry that he is in close liaison with PE on the issue.

If Cx are really that concerned about fuel there are 100s of other ways to lobby and reorganise things to mitigate. yes and 3 times tbl sadly is one of them. But most of them are under Cx control. So stop messing with the pilots and focus on bigger issues in the mean time.

Our job is complicated enought, and when ur fagitued at the end of the flt & things go wrong. The last thing u need to have hanging round your neck is the worry of running out of fuel / time and be pressured into making loads of mistakes.

Ie HKG! India airspace when the wx is s..t!

So guys grow some and reply to those emails,, here here at the least, if u not articulate enought to voice a constructive argument.

and while I hold the conch, lets put some of the differences between us aside and stand together against our oppressors.

Before we get fragmented and become hopeless with all this in fighting as in lord of the flies.

Another Ton for Mum!
