Oh What to Do???
I have to take 4 and a half months Long Service Leave (LSL) plus my 6 weeks annual leave. That's 6 months paid leave. The Dilemma is :
1. Do I take it all at once,
2. Do I take it in two slots, etc
I hate to think I am away for 6 months sitting on a far away island or skiing in Europe whilst the rest (except Aussies) are flying their butts off over Christmas picking up the 26years of leave (LSL) the company owes the Aus based pilots.

Unlike Toss, who has declared her gender in the most recent iteration of her location - is she an SO who is a dominatrix or a dominatrix who prefers to dominate SOs? (ah, the vagaries of the English language) - I've decided to be gender-neutral in this post.
I think, Mr (or Ms) Jizzmonkey that you may have misconstrued Mr (or Ms) PanZa-Lead's post. Nowhere does he (or she) say that he (or she) has been here for 26 years, rather that is the amount of LSL due to our Australian colleagues. I think you perhaps assumed that he (or she) is an old person.

Jizzmonkey, you probably are unaware that comments like yours are used as talking points at the by-weekly meetings of the 'CX Old Timers Determination to Stay till 75 Society'. We appreciate your ranting outburst and invite you to our next meeting held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Captains Bar. There is a minimum set menu price of $2500, but most of us can afford it as i'm sure you can. The lobster bisque to start is to DIE for..... Please do let us know if you can attend old boy. Toodle pip.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but those Aussie based pilots work according to the local employment acts, thus the LSL. Now lets not forget that these guys have given up the smaller tax threshold in HK and decided to pay more tax but receive better benefits ie: LSL. If I am not mistaken there salary is the same as it would be in HK.
