Neutral, don't forget the other employees as you put it had their wage bill cut by laying off/retrenching or whatever you want to call it several hundred of us a couple of years ago, not much support then, mind you according to kaptain m we don't count anyway.

Please accept my apology for not making my position more clear. It is just that this particular group is being targeted at present.
Perhaps some have learned from your experiences.
In any event, if management wins with the pilots, be assured that eventually every group will have their turn. It takes a very large group of people to get an airplane off the ground to be sure, and I have no doubt that management will find a way to erode everyone's way of life if the pilots' don't win this one.

Neutral,
I previously lived and worked in HK and I do have some sympathy for CP employees although you guys have traditionally had a far better deal than most of the world's crews.
BUT, back in the real world, 15 days notice of a roster sounds like a very good amount of notice to me. Our roster is published on Friday afternoon for the following week. By Wednesday it is often on Revision 12.

I believe there are many CX pilots keeping a very low profile until this is over. Most of the pilots are happy with their jobs, happy with what they are flying, and their package.
Especially all the S/o's. I feel sorry for the guys and girls how just want to get on with their jobs.
Like mentioned many a time before, if you are not happy then move on,go work for another airline that is offering what you expect.
For all those who are who is worried about your jobs,as hard as it may be,don't sercome to peer pressure, agree to what only a few want, and then maybe end up losing your job!!! Take a step back and have a think about things. What do you tell your family "I stuck with my brothers and got the boot!!!" Will they look after you, find you a new job, pay your wages, I think not. Doesn't look good on your CV "reason for leaving-fired".
Surely there is a better way to sort this out. It may take just as long but it is better than having no job.

Flying the same aircraft type as you guys are for a fifth of your current pay! and tripple the hours you fly!, that's my job flying for a major carrier here in the Far East. I wish that we have union to watch after us, but then, union is illegal here in ********. Best of luck boys.

CFIT...Just wonderimg how things are within the company you work for. How do you raise issues with the management. Would a union actually be of any. Sounds like you enjoy working for them...not to many problems.
Good to get your comments to compare.
