These postings are not from CX pilots

CX pilots no longer post on this forum, and have not done so for more than a week. They have their own, closed, forum and activity is high, with nearly 100 posts per day.

The recent contentious and vulgar postings purporting to come from CX pilots are an obvious attempt to discredit our reputation. Similarly the "wind-up" postings by brand new users which have suddenly appeared.

To the media who frequent this forum and occasionally publish selected postings, please read the warning in red at the bottom of the page: "As these are anonymous forums the origins of the contributions may be opposite to what may be apparent. In fact the press may use it, or the unscrupulous, to elicit certain reactions. Any quotes you take from here will not be from CX pilots, but from those who falsely claim to be.

CX pilots may be reached in the usual way by contacting the Hong Kong Aircrew Officers Association. Thank you,

Chris

To Whom It May Concern:

We have all moved. We have our own site.
Probably our opponent is trying to make us look bad. Same old dirty tricks.
This is what we had to deal with for the last 8-9 years.

All CX pilot posts are now on our own internal bulletin board. Contact the HKAOA for accurate information.

Chris, just copied your message to 'Rumours and News' for information only. Several unscrupulous individuals are attempting to blacken our names on that forum, so thought it timely to mention your comments there.

cheklapsap 2nd July 2001 05:10

Sorry Pprune,
But I no longer post here now that we have our own website.

Kubota 2nd July 2001 06:27

I no longer post here as we now have our own (private) forum.

Up yours, 411A

BusyB 2nd July 2001 06:50

Gone for the duration, Bye.

SuperSandwich 2nd July 2001 07:26

Never did use PPRuNe much anyway, but certainly don't use it anymore. Later guys!

Darling 2nd July 2001 12:16

I no longer use PPrune Thank you.

FL390 2nd July 2001 13:53

Hmmm, that's interesting, 10 CX pilots have just claimed that they don't post on PPrune!

I thought you siad that NONE of you posted on PPrune any more! :) :)

St_Paul_Island 2nd July 2001 15:48

Check the user names FL390. We are all long standing contributors who have been silent for many weeks now. However, others have appeared, using copious obscene language, to blacken our name. Think of this as an electronic petition - we won't be back.

I was not trying to have a go at any of you at all. I was just having a laugh by commenting on the fact that 10 people had said that "they are never going to post on PPrune again" and then they posted their message. It was just a little joke.

I know all about what CX management have been doing to you as well as those that blacken your names, such as 411-A etc etc, from before you all went silent from posts from Cathay Pathetic, The Resistance and Air Pressure.

Believe me, I DO NOT WISH TO HARM YOU OR YOU REPUTATION AT ALL!!!!! I know how hard all airline pilots, particularly those at CX, work. I know that you are being persecuted by management and their dirty tricks campaigns. But I also know that if you want to get rid of this management/get better pay/get better rostering etc etc it will be hard work. I believe that you are all a very determined group of people and I have spoken to a Cathay Captain and I know how he feels, which I am sure is the way that everyone at Cathay feels: fed up with being screwed by this crappy management!

However, I, as a mere wannabe, cannot really help your situation except for posting support here. And who knows, one day I may be sittig next to you on the flight deck. :)

REMEMBER, DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR FIGHT FOR BETTER PAY AND CONDITIONS! It'll be worth it in the end! :)

(Edited for spelling)

PPRuNe Towers 3rd July 2001 02:40

A note simply to confirm the points made by long standing contributors to PPRuNE.

Further I will be deleting or closing threads which contain any suggestion of being written by CX pilots for the duration of this action.

Here at the Towers we will be happy to publish anything CX pilots pass on to us. It is extremely easy for us to establish their bona fides.

The HK AOA does not need this site at the present although it is always available.

The big red letters at the bottom of the page say it all and we will, if needed, take more drastic action to ensure no further disinformation.

If you consider this action to be partisan and favouring the HK AOA membership you're damn right. We refuse to be a conduit for the dirty tricks brigade.

You would do well to remember the near 300 non AOA professional aircrew and those who voted against limited industrial action. I would hope they are sensible enough to see though any 'dirty tricks'. Your denial of a forum for this group is reprehensible.
