ATP FAA Written Exam by Gleim

Hi all,

In May im going to attend Sheffield Dispatcher School in Florida and they highly recommend i get a hold of the above book and learn it before i get there - the only problem is im having a very hard time of getting this book as it seems to have gone out of print! I had one ordered on Amazon but they mailed me today to tell me they had already sold it ... ... Can anyone give me any info where i might pick this up?

Thanks!
FFD

That is very sound advice they give, an internet search shows many suppliers, but I know the issue about them acceting non US credit cards online. You might try giving them some of them a phone, easyJet ordered copies sometime ago with no trouble -problem is I can't remember where from - might be that Opsbod can advise.

One small tip, the AIM and the FAR's can be found on the web, there's a good place to start until you get your Gliems, the AIM in particular. Also, searchs on NOAA websites etc, will give you much of the weather decode materials.

FFD,

I had exactly the same problems as you with amazon. but persavere with them and your book will come. Mine did!! I tried all over London, Foyles, Waterstones etc but to no avail as the book is only an american print.

You could also try the place where I done my ADX Knowledge test in the UK - American Air training in Norwich airport.

Do as no-sig says and try an internet search. Failing that goto the sheffield web-site. you can down load QandA from the ADX exam and also I think they give contact details from where to obtain the book.

Hope this helps!!

Good luck with your studies. I went to Sheffield Jan 03 an excellent place good people! you'll enjoy it!

easyJet's copies also supplied eventually by amazon.com, not the UK one but direct in the states.

You could try Transair.co.uk as well

Another good website to try is www.asa2fly.com as they do the atp faa written exam book, as well as reprints of standard faa books such as aviation weather and weather services. When i sent off for my book last year they were very quick to send it back. As the one of the previous posts stated, have a look at the Sheffield Website as they have a detailed list of questions and mock test sections.

All the best
