QEC 777 Roller Engine chg
Come on all you 777 experts, what downtime does it take your airline to carryout a normal 777 engine chg.
Preferably at your own maintenance facility including post ground runs.
Also standard for A340 would also be required.

Would say that average for Big Air is around 18-24 hours on the Trent 777s. It depends on so many factors, not least the availibility of enough experienced Engineers .
Usually no Hi-pwr runs required as engines come pre-tested from RR.
Easier than the GE90 !

a340-300 engine change takes about 12 hrs, using the good old bootstrap method, very easy to do,engine usually requires idle power check start as they come pre tested.Fuel line Hyd line and about 5 other disconnects not a bad job at all, which is all the better because the amount of engine changes you do on these aircraft sure builds up your experiance.
