Gear Swings On Classic Woolly Pulley

Can anybody inform me the quickest and best way to carry out gear swings on Boeing 747-200 with RB211's. As the way that I was told was to have the aircraft on the ground, and only have the nose pin fitted and select up. Maybe I misunderstood the maintenance manual or is it because I was working for Woolly Pully

The method you describe is...................interesting.
As to quickest - yup - will be bloody quick on the first half of the swing ( except for the nose gear which you so thoughtfully pinned ). Getting the resulting mess back on the Dunlops may take you a tad longer.
As to the best - refer above - I doubt it.
