CPL EXAM
Does anyone have any handy hints for someone sitting their CPL(A) exam in 2 weeks ?
All the study is done (I hope)... just looking for any advice on timing etc and how others found the 3 part format.
Thanks in advance.

If you've done plenty of work then you won't have any problems with it. I found the key was just work as quickly as you can through all the sections without wasting too much time on questions you don't know the answer to. If you're working as fast as possible then you can't possibly do any better than that.
The second section is probably the trickiest, but one thing which isn't taken into consideration by most theory lecturers or text books is that by the time you get to the 3rd section you're physically drained and it's quite easy to start making stupid mistakes at that point. Certainly you'll find yourself going a lot slower.
Oh, and if you have 2 weeks to run then your study is far from done Do plenty of practice exams - they're the best way to find your weaknesses. The Dyson-Holland practice exams are challenging but excellent.

Our course used the Trevor Thom CPL set which covers most of the syllabus fairly well. For the human factors section, Tony Wilson’s Aircraft Human Performance & Limitations is a good read.
Having just sat for the ATPL exams I can definitely recommend the Bureau of Meteorology’s Manual of Meteorology Parts 1 & 2. These are the 2 books that CASA bases their met questions on (or so I’m told). They are also pretty good value coming in at around $40 for both.
Hope this helps, good luck.

I sat the exam in August. About being mentally drained by the 3 rd section this was not the case in my exam as you have 2hrs to finish what takes 45 min if you know your information. The 2nd is a killer and be sure not to run out of time, there was a 5 point question in my section 2 exam which was an echo question. Surprisingly there where not that many echo in part 2 also there was a few PNR and ETP. Also I personally and surprisingly came close to running out of time in section 1.
Like the previous guy said plenty of practise exams, this cannot be overstated.
The real key to passing the exam in general is exam technique so particularly with all of section 2 work backwards by plugging the answer from the tree into the question and see if it fits rather than waist precious time working through the whole question, practise doing this with the practise exams.
Remember by the time you have entered the exam room you are not trying to further your education you are there to pass a hard exam so Practise exams and time reduction.
Good Luck
