Our course used the Trevor Thom CPL set which covers most of the syllabus fairly well. For the human factors section, Tony Wilson’s Aircraft Human Performance & Limitations is a good read.

Having just sat for the ATPL exams I can definitely recommend the Bureau of Meteorology’s Manual of Meteorology Parts 1 & 2. These are the 2 books that CASA bases their met questions on (or so I’m told). They are also pretty good value coming in at around $40 for both.
