MicroSwitch, you can get info from Advanced Flight Theory . Nathan Higgins runs a spot on course for aeroplanes. Thoroughly recommended.

Bowls club's pretty good. 6 pack of vb about nine bucks.. .Friday night at "Fridays" in Maroochy also recommended. Then there's the Marcoola surf club any night. The pokies pay alright too. . .. ........and you won't find a better thoery instructor. Knows everything. It he could build a 767 if he had to.. .You'll love his joke about the seagulls squawking.

I agree with the others too. Nathan is very good and knows his sh*t. He has a very good reputation around Australia and many international pilots attend his ATPL theory course. He also will provide extra assistance, if you don't pass the first time. His notes are pretty spot on and so are the practice exams. . .You'll be doing yourself a huge favour by choosing his course.. .Adding to that PW is right about Friday's nightclub in Maroochy. Great palce to unwind on the w/end and also the surf club.. .Good luck.

Nathan is quite simply the best there is. Sorry for crapping on a little, but I have nothing but praise for him.. .. .I had been doing my ATPL via correspondence with a bloke in NSW. I felt the course was a bit outdated from what I had seen others studying.. .I had very little time before my 3 years was almost up, with only FPLNing to go. (this was due to having a boss who was extremely unhelpful when it came to getting a day off for the exam) I had not even started studying for FPLNing. I rang Nathan for his advice as I needed to knock it on the head without fail.. .. .I attended the course in Maroochy at the beginning of the year (just for FPLNing). On arriving in Maroochy, I was pleasantly greeted by the owners of the small budget motel I was staying at. They were extremely helpful, washing clothes, offering to drop me off places - they were great. A reasonably intense five day FPLNing course followed.. .(although I must say that it wasn't that intense that we couldnt go and have a night out in Noosa or Mooloolaba every day). .. .I unfortunately came down with a bad stomach virus the night before the exam.. .. .I was pleasantly suprised to open the exam notification and see 86%.. .. .I wish I would have done the full-time course for all the subjects. It would have saved 3 years of late nights and stress. Give them a go, and get them out of the way sooner rather than later.. .. .Thanks again Nathan and all the crew at AFT!. . . . [ 13 March 2002, 01:07: Message edited by: mdot ]
mdot my information is that you had to be dragged out every night kicking and screaming. I should know I assisted you. 86%? if you had gone out more you would have got 100%!!! AS WE TOLD YOU.. . Despite the late nights I passed too and highly recommend Nathan's course and what a great place to do it if you do it full time.. .mdot, I'm the vodka drinker

Well OzBiggles, you Vodka drinker you!! Great to hear you got through also!!!. .. .What do you mean I had to be dragged out!!! Thats complete bullspit & cr@p!!! It was completely the other way, as my slightly sore-headed memory serves me correctly!. .. .If I had known I was going to get 86, I probably would have spent that Monday night in Noosa with the Indian restaraunt tart. (you remember, the SMS chicky!!). .. .Say hello to the Sector controller for me.. .Will email you soon.. .. . Hmmm. Skywalker.. to become a jedi flight planner, you must reach for the BRW not from the heart... but from the soul !!!
