Manual uninstall of Internet Explorer

Have need to do a full manual removal of our corrupt Internet Explorer version 6 which hangs when you attempt to access the internet. Have checked connection settings etc. so I'm sure there's an actual corruption rather than wrong settings.

Heres the oddity- IE is not listed among the list of progs available to uninstall in Control Panel / Add Remove Programmes, so will have to do a full manual jobby. Can PPRuNe's collective wisdom tell me how to do a complete as possible clearout including references to IE in the registry.

We have Win XP home edition.
Many thanks.

Ant,

Don't have XP myself but I've had to do similar under Win 98. First port of call is the Microsoft Knowledge Base where there seems to be a number of relevant articles. Best of luck!
