Manual uninstall of Internet Explorer
Have need to do a full manual removal of our corrupt Internet Explorer version 6 which hangs when you attempt to access the internet. Have checked connection settings etc. so I'm sure there's an actual corruption rather than wrong settings.
Heres the oddity- IE is not listed among the list of progs available to uninstall in Control Panel / Add Remove Programmes, so will have to do a full manual jobby. Can PPRuNe's collective wisdom tell me how to do a complete as possible clearout including references to IE in the registry. We have Win XP home edition. Many thanks. |
Ant,
Don't have XP myself but I've had to do similar under Win 98. First port of call is the Microsoft Knowledge Base where there seems to be a number of relevant articles. Best of luck! |
