Can't open websites

Since yesterday I can omnly open certain websites. If i try to open, say Photobucket or a link from here i get an error, "The webpage can not be opened" The connection is made, according to info, just it won't display. I've tried a system restoration but the problem remains

Sounds like a problem at your ISP to me.

Sounds like a classic DNS issue. You could try using OpenDNS, see if that fixes it.

lot of DNS errors also here....cannot find requested URL....check your firewall setting etc...
Seems to be a DNS issue as I hear the same from friends in other countries.

Tried the open DNS link but can't open that!! Firewall off doesn't help either. I'm beginning to think it must be the ISP, especially as i had problems with mail when this all started.

The ISP site is one I can't open so can't get through to the help desk on line.

This cam up on an attempt from "Bonjour"

The name of the file that caused this problem is mDNSResponse.exe.

For information about possible solutions to this problem, go online to the following Knowledge Base (KB) article
Problem is, AFAIK I didn't install Bonjour so don't know whether this is to be trusted; the knowledge Base is an Apple one, guess what, I can't open it

I think Bonjour associates with I-Tunes. You could try disabling it is MSConfig or services and see what happens?

Finally lost all internet capability. Did a complete system restoration and it now seems OK. Still no idea what it was though

Thanks or all your help
