Dash 8-300 Approach and landing procedures
Hi all,
Are there any dash 8 pilots out there that can provide me with some detailed textbook assistance in setting up for a decent approach and landing? I currently "fly" the PSS Dash 8 with MSFS2002 99% of the time, and I am trying to perfect my landings with this wonderful aircraft. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for any assistance

You'll be hard pushed to do a perfect landing in it. If it's like the real thing it's not called the Smash 8 for nothing!
But to answer your question, I'd say planning and preparation is the key. Get the speed nailed, work out where you need to be, at which height, which speed and get stabilised nice and early for the flare.
In a sim such as FS, you're lacking the cues that help you to do a greaser in real life but I was always told to 'feel' it down and look out the window straight down the runway just at the flare.
In FS it'd probably be easiest to do this in the 3D cockpit view.
I'm familiar with the PSS A320, an excellent sim that lots of 'bus pilots have (but won't admit to it)!

To land the Crash-8 you'll want the runway to be wet and don't chop the power before the wheels touch down ;-)
...unless you're landing the -100 shortfield; then you'll just need some good ole' luck!
No, seriously; land "flat" with just a little bit power and in case of high sink-rate; push the stick ever-so-gently forward after initiating the roundout, to reduce mainwheel ROD (don't EVER use the C-172 salvage technique of increasing pitch; you'll just slam them wheels harder into the ground).
