Where may I fly/work with a canadian licence???
I am new in this forum. Recently Ive just got a CPL Multy-IFR canadian Licence. I wonder where I am able to work with this licence besides Canada. I do not have the privilege of working in Canada since Im spanish citizen.
Converting my canadian licence to a spanish one is a lot of work, time and on the top of that money. First of all Im supposed to pass 14 different written test, it would take sometime between 6 months and 1 year, flying at least 50 hours. It sounds like to start all over again and paying something like €30000, it's quite a lot and right now Im broke.
Any tip/suggestion how to be on the right path will be very welcome.

Why dont we all cut the guy some slack -
Im sure none of you want to spend more money or write more exams - clearly the guy has worked hard enough to get his CPL etc...
I think the key here to answer your question is all about residency rights - if its outside canada - can the company give you an ability to live in abroad legally.
Ive heard of canadians in the maldives in the Caribbean and in Africa - but all of those gigs are with companies that have ties to canada.
At the very least may all require an atpl.
Africa is a place some guys go to build time - otherwise hit the streets start knocking on doors and expect to work the ramp till you can get into a plane and building hours.

I was just about to do same-training in Canada(already have picked the school etc.) but had decided to postpone it due this residency/work permit issue as I am from EU as well. I guess if you want fly in EU soon or later, EASA programme you mentioned.
What about South America? Especially if you speak spanish...Does anyone know how it is with Visas "all the way below USA"?

Most other countries require permanent residency or citizenship. Brazil requires citizenship by law to work for a Brazilian company, and Mexico requires citizenship BY BIRTH to be eligible for a commercial license. LAN Argentina was requiring Argentinian citizenship. Many other countries have similar requisites to keep out gringos. It varies from country to country.

Convert your TC CPL/IR to an FAA licence and many more doors may open!
It should be pretty straight forward and there's enough information on the web about the process.
