What about South America? Especially if you speak spanish...Does anyone know how it is with Visas "all the way below USA"?
If you have 1000 hours, foreigners can apply to Copa Airlines in Panama. LAN Peru and LAN Chile were accepting applications from foreigners but I am not sure about the status right now. I know a couple of guys who got interviews at LAN Peru but they had 3000 hours each.

Most other countries require permanent residency or citizenship. Brazil requires citizenship by law to work for a Brazilian company, and Mexico requires citizenship BY BIRTH to be eligible for a commercial license. LAN Argentina was requiring Argentinian citizenship. Many other countries have similar requisites to keep out gringos. It varies from country to country.
