Im feeling sebby (apologies if that isnt your screen name!) would be very able to field this question!

From my experience however, Longhaul recruits alot more frequently than shorthaul. Sheer logistics, and size of the longhaul base compared to shorthaul base. Also with QF beefing up numbers as they are lately in preparation for the new longhaul aircraft, which rumour has it, will be predominatly crewed with nz labour...

Clarification welcome however!

As for pay/conditions, not my forte, however i feel obliged to comment (read, gossip). Pay at longhaul appears slightly more, while conditions at shorthaul appear slightly better. Mind you QF conditions and pay are probably the best available in New Zealand if your thinking of entering the industry.

Hope this helps!

Qf Shorthaul

Hi,
QF SH are having interviews on FEB 16/17, you could try Jetconnect recruitment and see what happens??

Unsure of the conditions or payscale. Does anybody have any info about this?

Thanks.

Point of clarification

QF [Jetconnect] recruit longhaul cabin crew in NZ on a regular basis for one reason only.

Turnover.

Not sure how many in the base but reports suggest on average 10-15 leave a month.

The NZ equivalent of Australia's CES [Government employment agency] has been used to try and find crew .

I went for the jetconnect recruitment day last weeknd and made it through to the final interview:-). Yay! Just waiting for them to get back to me and let me know whether i qualify to go ahead with the medical/swimming assesment. Has anyone else been to the jet connect recruitment day? Also does anyone know after how long do they get in touch with everyone to let them know whether they got through or not?

Hey Thanks everyone for all the advice!

Made it through to the last round but unfortunately didnt make it. Oh well ce la vie! However I did have a good time and met so many awesome people there and the recruiters were so nice and friendly.
This was an awesome experience but it just wasnt my time and as they say when one door closes another one opens so I'll just keep soldiering on pursuing my dream. To those who did make it and are waiting for the call ....All the best and good luck!

Thanks again you all rock!!!!!
