travel sickness
I know this is probably going to seem like a stupid question but I would love a job as cabin crew but suffer from travel sickness. Am I alone and if not what do people do to combat it. Thanks xxx

Hi,
I used to suffer with travel sickness really bad when i first started flying.
I took Stugeron and found these really helped, the hardest thing though is getting of them as you dont want to keep popping pills!
I also found that i was dizzy for ages after a flight, apparently its all to do with your balance and inner ear??
You will get used to it, but it may help to take some travel sickness pills first.

Hi Trollydollywannabee
I found ginger is pretty good at helping with travel sickness. You can take it in several ways. Drinking tea made with thin slices of root ginger infused in hot water is one. I have eaten crystalized ginger and that has helped too.
Hope you find a cure

Hi trollydollywannabee,
That's not a stupid question..after flying for 18 yrs i still get motion sickness when the flight gets horribly bumpy. What i usually do is drink warm h2o with lots of lemon slice and a pinch of salt. It works for me maybe it'll work for you too..

I also took these when I started flying to cure air-sickness. I gradually reduced the dosage over a couple of months or so, until I gave them up altogether. I never feel squiffy now, & have been in some serious turbulence, as well as having done a bit of gliding over the years.
