What these companies must realise that if they treat their applicants as canon fodder word gets out and it affects their reputation - and if you look at their website they are pretending to give great customer service - well as we all know that starts with treating people decently - failed miserably already!!

Havana, you may think this is sour grapes, let me assure you its not. I know of another very credible applicant who was treated the same way. Oh and dont bother asking for feedback because they wont give it, and from what I've seen on here its because they dont pay enough attention!!!!

Airhostessdream, good luck, no one has yet figured out what this lot are after so go for it and I hope you get in......

What they are after!!!!! My god what do you all sound like. I work for Zoom and I'm very happy working there thank you very much. The company that you're describing doesn't sound anything like Zoom, but that might be because you don't work there and consequently really have no basis for your opinions.

You talk about the people there, the only bitchiness/nastiness I'm seeing is coming from the wanabees on this site, if this is your attitide then maybe it's just as well you didn't pass the assessment day

zoom assessment

I want to move from (FI) to London for a while but Zoom wont be it! I excused myself after I heard (a nice enough guy) talking about how they use fancy cups that rot more quickly than other ones in the trash, charge money for a pre-used blanket rental but when someone asked about salary she was looked at in the same was if she said she had herpes. The woman I said Good Bye to snap at me, just saying that this would be my only chance so don't come back "that's ok schweethart" I said, "you never mind about that."
But sometimes it's good to make these experiences. I hope all the others who are trying to get this kind of work get alot of success.

Zoom Interviews!

I am so ANGRY what a complete waste of time .
Had my interview with Zoom today and how can they possibly judge someone's character based on a stupid, childish building a tower type of team building excerise and with the worst ever test I have done in all my history, Virgin, Bmi etc! This has got to be the worst. ( Who tests you about stock taking and cards you fill in as a pax when flying/

I found the recuritment team rude also.
Most people said If your face fitted you got it.

They picked mostly good looking people and there were alot of stunning people who also did not get through.
At least with Virgin I can say they make you do the whole interview these days and Don't mark you over one specific thing and If it's down to tests Virgin tell you that you have failed Tests.
I am sorry but I will not be applying to Zoom again and Indeed as above posts pure young people there. I only met one nice guy who was friendly and funny, and another girl who was nice too who I speak too. Most people were stuck up and completly into themselves.
Waste of time this interview!!

Zoom interview

Hi everyone
I attended an assessment today and I have to say what an absolute sham it was. there is no formal structure to the day , we had to build a tower out of paper and paper clips ( really handy if your stuck on a desert Island) .Three assessors to asess 30 applicants all they did was visually profile us and picked who they wanted. How could three people tell what kind of person you were from watching you build a paper tower is beyond me!!!!!
My friend came with me and sat amongst all the applicants without a word even said to her other than "are you one of the applicants" when she replied "no" they just laughed. All a joke , I will put it down to experience.
Good luck to whoever because if your face fits your in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was nice to meet Airhostess dream please keep in touch , you were the only nice person there.

Zoom assessment day 7th feb

When I got up this morning at 6, I though things through for a bit, then made a last minute decision not to go.

Looks like that decision was justified!

Phew! That would have been a waste of petrol!

Would'nt it just, but nothing will change my mind after today. First impressions last!!!! As for the Bank of Scotland well !!! what can I say, other than I hope it pays off for their sake!!
ZOOM haven't done themselves any favours today!! Which is a great shame as I am sure there are plenty nice people that work for them.

No one complains about being knocked back (although none of us like it!) but they do want to be given a fair chance and see the best candidates chosen.

From the information I have this is not sour grapes in any way shape or form. If Zoom or others prefer to stick their heads in the sand and pretend they have done everything right then so be it, but the number of posters here would indicate that someone ought to sit up and take notice.

I believe from pre interview research that one of Zooms mantra's is recruit and retain the best, can 3 "pickers" really identify the best amongst 30 applicants building paper towers?? Thats going some in my book!!!

I guess you can sum it up with the comment......"its their train set"

I recall similar threads with similar comments aimed at the likes of Silverjet, Monarch, Thomsonfly, MyTravel, Virgin etc etc etc

So please forgive this oft knocked back cynic from sharing your collective sense of injustice

No one can argue with that. at the end of the day they will do what they want, and nothing will influence that............what will happen is that fewer people will want to go and operate their trains and passengers wont want to travel on them!!!!

Whether they like it or not however, Zoom have not enhanced their reputation by the manner in which they have conducted these interviews, and we all know how hard it is to get a good reputation and how easy it is to lose it. Every interaction with people be it Pax, staff, press or whoever is part of building or destroying that reputation.

But hey thats their look out!!!
