Thats fantastic news and sounds very promising....
Yeah I remember you, in mine I descibed my dream house in byron on a macadamia nut plantation, i was kinda in the middle of the group and was one of the last interviewed. Do you know if anyone else from our assessment group had been contacted?

Hey oxygn, I remember you. I was the one with a greyish suit on with stitching features around the edges. I had maroon bag and shoes. I was the second one to go in for the final interview with Kim and Mary-Rose.

We'll keep each other updated when we hear something.

Congrats on getting through too.

Hi everyone,

This is a question for current EY Cabin Crew. Just wondering how the pay increase has worked out and what would be the average pay for a month of work??

Also, do EY give you a ticket home each year and also cheaper tickets for family members like EK or no?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Take care
Tanya

Hey Tanya hows it going?? have we spoken during the day?? i heard Ey cabin crew just got a pay rise last month which is good to hear,,,i think its around 1700 US a month but that not including flying hours dont know exactly how much they pay an hour.

And regarding getting tickets allowance for the family am sure they got that 2 but i think the probationary period and its three month only not like EK six month

Hey oxygn, thanks for the reply. No I don't think we spoke on the day, I think we just smiled at each other a couple of times. When we were filling out our papers before our final interview I was at the desk with a few of the guys. Anyway, it doesn't matter if we met that day, hopefully we will get to meet in AUH at the start of our training !!!!!

Only one more week to go, have you heard anything??? This wait it driving me mad!!!!

Keep us updated.

Take care
Tanya

Hey all...

Atmoshphere..are you CC already for EY? Anyone know where do the crew stay in Sydney?

I think the Male CC uniform on EY is awesome....no collars..no tie..looks stylish.. so do the females uniform..more professional colour then EK.

We got salary slips, with the increase, and they look nice
If u r lucky with the roster u can expect 9000-10000 AED, allowances included.
But, (there is always one "but"), if your roster is crapy, your salary will be bad

There is an obvious problem in roster scheduling in EY, as it seems Crew Controlling doesn't know their job. Some people get only turnarounds, some get only layovers, some get mix (mix is fair). So, I guess, u can only hope u'll be lucky with your roster, and when u call them to clarify some things, they r sooooo rude, that u want to come there and slap someone Sometimes they give u flight with less than 8hrs of rest, and their explanation is "we're sorry, but we don't have enough crew". S , but let me call GCAA, and than u'll see how u will find extra crew

So, next thing that needs to be cleaned in EY is OCC !!!

Happy flying!

Interview in AUH

I'm flying to AUH for an interview as Cabin Manager. Can anyone give me a heads up as to what this interview entails?
Also several posts regarding CM salary but do EY give an allowance if you get your own accommodation as EK do?
Any help greatly appreciated.

hello

sorry to bother u with this, but i'm thinking of applying to EY as cc & have a couple of questions for u: 1) do u get crew rest brks on yr flights? what's the formula? in my airline if the flght time is over 8 hours we are entitled to a rest brk..2) once u reach a certain age (say 45 yrs old) are you "invited" to leave?
thnx in advance for your answer..
safe flying

Hey Oxgyn..

Offer letter for Employment is only dispatched once the security checks are clear. Then the medical checks have to be clear as well. Before they draft out a letter of employment. Thats the last thing to be done.

I should be expecting an email to be proceed with medical if all goes well

Did anyone that got to the "very" last stage of Etihad interview can share some information on the questions asked by the recruitment staff.

Flyingazorian,

Yes, u do get breaks on your flights here in EY, if the flight time is over 8hrs. But, sometimes, depending on a Cabin Manager u might get break on shorter flights as well.

As for the age thing, so far I haven't heard anything like that. I know that exists in Qatar Airways, where they even don't offer u a ground job, they just "ask" u to leave.
