The gall of the domestics is truely something to behold........

Quote-

"It seems to be all about the mighty dollar."

It sure is.
The ONLY reason you lot have been given the flying is that you have agreed to undercut US.

Oh, thanks too for reminding me that we work for the same company.

The actions of your lot has blinded me to the fact...........

For 80 odd years up untill you clowns agreed to undercut us, domestic.

I’m sorry tightslot; I was going to move on BUT…

“I love the way that short haul is taking YOUR flying.
Since when did you own the flying?!”

That’s right it was our flying Sydney s/h, look at the name on your terminal signs…

“Domestic”

Your logic appears to be... “If we don’t steal your work, someone else will, so we might as well do it. At least it is another Australian taking your job not some foreigner”

I wonder if you would be as content and amiable if an Australian girl stole your husband instead of a NZ, a Thai or an English girl .I’m sure you would be OK with it as long as she worked for the same company.

If you don’t want any heat then don’t wander into the kitchen.

I was joking when I called it the Judas division but the more I think about it….

As I said about politics, we could argue about this ad infinitum, let’s move on...
How is the weather up there in the UK tightslot???

lets change the subject as it looks like no agreement can be reached.
It will flare up again when the new EBA is put up for voting.
It will be a beauty!
Hey peanut pusher where are you! How is LHR base?

Latest Newsletter from the FAAA ………….

Still no word about any vote……..It looks as though I might save $600 a year because I can’t see how I’m getting any value from the 3 sisters.

yes the FAAA have obviously got their priorities right. The fire caused by a hairdryer was around a month ago and the faaa have just got around to telling us now that there might be a problem with the hairdryers. This info should have been out in a newsletter within days not weeks

Don’t forget the breastfeeding area on QCC1 ( I think it is a seat in the womans toilet) and of course the huge benefit gained by walking through town and the beers afterwards.

I’d like to know who and what is the hold up with the annual allowances meeting???

Someone has also told me that the tech crew get a free breakfast at the millennium whereas we just get a discount!!!

Seriously though,we are being deceived by the faaa and I am at a loss as to what to do,I don’t really want to leave the union because I believe in collective bargaining. The current leaders are basically running with a hidden agenda. There should be a weekly newsletter with a complete and I mean complete and transparent rundown of what has transpired the previous week.

This should include meetings ,phone calls from the company etc……To say the faaa was in confidential meetings with the company is ridiculous. There is not a situation where the either the company or the faaa should be withholding information from the union members because of the confidentiality of the situation.

The current leadership promised us a vote nearly a year ago and as at the 22 nd November they have done nothing. If we can’t trust the company and we cannot trust the faaa then we might as well not spend $600 a year as probably most of the ex Perth based L/H crew will not either

I think that there are some very dedicated people in the faaa but the 3 girls running the show need a wakeup call…but thinking of the previous 3 blind mice, you have to wonder at the motives some people have when they run for an elective post on the union and what their real agenda is. I can think of better ways to spend $600 a year than support the careers of a bunch of deceptive people with machiavellian intentions

only

only 50 at the rally -and most of them union officials using our bank of annual leave days.
so Guardian 1 and Pegarse- is this just f/a apathy or a true indication of the support of the current executive and their (in) ability to make any head way with negotiations with the company?
Just how effective would have that strike action been last Xmas?
"OK troops, lets do a head count....Steves here, Andrew, Mick......hello? anyone there?....this should bring the company to its knees....." "Eerr, Mick, we don't fly anyway...."

That threat of strike action combined with the media coverage of strikebreakers being trained at night and transported to the base in unmarked buses in a sort of Maxwell smart type of operation was playing right into our hands.

Then what do our elected leaders do???? MM has a secret lunch with Darth Dixon and all of a sudden we have agreed to an increase in the cap of overseas crew and basically thrown in the towel…The company wins again..surprise..surprise

We were actually on the verge of achieving something and the 3 girls after all their rhetoric show their capabilities and strategy….GIVE UP …I would love to know what Darth offered to MM

If the 3 sisters were running the show during world war 2 we would all be eating Bratwurst and Sushi .

I wonder what the 3 girls are planning to give up in the next EBA??

socks to match ties

I've already posted here a little earlier that that is why the faaa will now be carrying out a comprehensive sock survey amongst the membership to ensure that aesthetically - we don't get a sock colour that may clash with the shiny new ties.
Just quietly, I reckon the CSSs would settle for a pay rise rather than another business dog collar.

The new tie/scarf is probably a MS aka Bob the Builder idea

The faaa will probably claim it was their idea as well

Hello from LHR

Hello to all my fans in Aus (lower, speedie, jet etc)
Hope your well and not eating each others children still.

LHR marches on, One year soon and it goes from strength to strength.

The company's OD IFE is really pissing off pax to the max.

It is actually destroying every bit of work any good f/a does as it just doesn't work and the largest cause of complaint in QF history.

LHR crew have settled into the role well now and we even get smiles and conversation at hand overs.

There has been no max sackings or resignations with under double figures leaving by choice or force.

Not all is rosie, couple of little details pissing us off but all in all ok and most people having a great time.

Hope everything settles down for Aus crew as it seems a war on many fronts.

I worked out last year it was every man for himself, do what is best for you as the company and union don't care for you and are taking no prisoners.

Won't it make your daily job very uncomfortable and unpleasant? You want to dob them in? Strange
Well, you see luv I am being forced to work with shorthaul, due to their choice to make themselves cheaper than me. I care not if they hate me, they WILL do the international sectors to the book, or yes, they will be dobbed in. I have no care for domestic crew, I will work with them as I have to. No I dont want them as friends [or even colleagues] and the minute the stray from the book I will go them. You dont really understand, I am really proud of the product, and have seen it time and time again butchered by the amateurs of domestic. There is no recourse, come january I will report even the slightest deviation from international service standards, and the company will back me up. is where they have f*cked up, they are putting professionals with amateurs. Unpleasant? no, it will be very comfortable, trust me. Hope I fly with you.
