Just a question for the Jetstar crew. Isnt the yearly allocation for Jetstar 16 being 8 every 6 month period or is it 32 for the year 16 every 6 month period?

Apparently it's 16 per year. No actual specification on how many per 6 month period, unlike Eastern and Sunstate.

empty gestures

so just how many militant outraged f/as attended the day of protest rally in sydney -50!
yep thats all
so much for maintaining the rage.
indicative of the apathy, indifference and self centred nature of most L/H crew
10 of those at the rally were union officials - no doubt using up our precious bank of leave days and probably drawing a full allowance for attending the rally - not true - please deny then.
absolutely pathetic seeing as there were 2,000 in town
or
typical of the empty rhetoric and gratutious gestures of union officials who have completely lost the upper hand with the company
will the union be putting out a letter explaining their disappointment at this turn out -or just pretend it didn't happen?

bigbarrels,

whatsup?
Is QF getting a little heat having it's staff airing QF's dirty laundry via this website?

Had it occured to anyone in "management" that the foundation to good staff relations is treating it's people with respect, dignity and decency??

Guess not.........

Tell the brownshirted goons that run hr that the war zone that has become QF is entirely of their own making.

Engagement?

It takes skill, ability and integrity to win the hearts and minds of people.

Those running QF are just clowns which is apt as this place has become an operational circus...................

The march to the next bonus must go on.

QANTAS- Not so much an airline.........more a performance bonus generating machine.

Speedbirdhouse,
You won't get a reply from big barrels , he was just a bit upset because someone had the temerity to have a shot at tech crew . However ,it is apparently ok for the tech crew to have a go at the company ,cabin crew and other techies on their own web site

So you guys would rather go to Anaheim then? While the Bonaventure isn't nearly as good as Pasadena, from my experience Anaheim is even worse.

the solution is easy.
As there were too many crews to accommodate in Pasadena, they should slip the AKL crew at the airport, after all they have shorter slips and who cares!
And from what the techies state they are quite happy at the bonaventure!
Problem solved, that leaves pasadena to us!
Actually I dont mind the Bonadventure! it suits me quite fine.
It does amaze me that they are slipping the AKL crew there, I would put them out at the airport! after all who are they going to complain to!

Crusty Demon,

Who said anything about Anaheim?

I was re-printing tech crew posts from their web site that I thought were interesting particularly in regard to their attitude to cabin crew.

Cartexchange has a good idea though, if you techies are happy with the Bonaventure then you can stay there and we can move back to Pasadena, problem solved!!!

it's not rocket science, we are at the Bonaventure because they offered a rate significantly less than the hotels in Pasadena...contingent on all of us being there. If CC move out , there goes the contract.... and we all go to Anaheim, fact.

Bonaventure

Look whenever we move there is always drama and then everything settles down.
The same will happen here.
Anaheim or the airport are NOT where you want to go.
I like the place.
It is the nexus of transport.
I can go anywhere I want in LAX (return)for $3/day

My suggestion or backing of the idea of moving back to pasadena although very appealing was said tongue in cheek

Even though some dopes from the faaa approved Anaheim some years ago,who said that Anaheim is the only alternative to the Bonaventure.
It is a nice scare tactic from anyone who is happy with the Misadventure

eye off the ball

so only 50 turn up at our day of indignation
about says it all - we're all pretty happy - except the senior & selfish
I was told last week that a recent JFK pattern went out with the TOP 15 SENIORITY NUMBERS! so there's obviously still a buck in it for these lurkers
thats why the LAX accommodation is so high on union business -its all about senior crews proximity to cosco .
the faaa executive is merely a pawn in the hands of senior & selfish L/H crew
meanwhile L/H bases close, other off shore ones open and the union panders to those in the iron lung.
next we'll be asked to participate in a sock survey to match the panty hose one.
meanwhile I hear there is a real schism occurring at the new union offices - some want indigenous flora in the foyer while others are pushing for thai orchids.

It would be in the company's interests to try and generate the impression that longhaul crew do not support the FAAA and to perpetuate the myth that the union are only there for the senior ones.................

"Divide and conquer" I believe the term is called.

a rocket

no its just putting a rocket into the union head office & informing them that we are all not amused by their ineffectual "matching up and down the square" techniques of negotiations.

Get over yourself.

They were marching against Howard's anti employee IR laws. Not negotiating with the company or anybody else.

The draconion IR laws will have a devastating impact on the quality of life of ALL wage earners and their families.

Dixon must be itching to exercise his new found industrial power.

No details of Howard's plan to introduce this Orwelian legislation was communicated to the electorate during the lead up to our last general election and as such there is NO mandate for it's introduction.

Fairness is something that is at the heart of our national identity. The GROSS misuse of senate power will see the conservatives severely punished in two years time.

This is after all Australia.
Not North Korea or Stalinist Russia.

Australia now..

But not for long.
The ignorant conversative electorate voted these lying swines in because they were too stupid to realize that the RBA controls interest rates not the government.

exactly, they were too worried about interest rates!
what they should have been worried about was "do I have a job to pay for those interest rates"
On another note, latest bid book has been released on the web.
Six kiwi crew on the JFK shuttles.
An heaps of ICN (Seoul Korea) trips, slips are 24 48 and 72 hour slips.
Heaps of other changes as well.

Yes.............

Maybe the coming onslaught is what is needed to get the ignorant and complacent Australian electorate interested in our political process and how ideological politics effects our quality of life and society.

If so it will be a HARD learnt lesson..............

oh and Beijing is in as well. 48 and 72 hour slips.
Midnight 63 and her Kiwi mates have been removed from HNL, as they are needed on the JFK shuttles
Oh and midnight youre off the Shanghai shuttles as well,
Shame that youre off the HNL though, shocking trip, never thought I'd say that but I hate the sector up and back.

oh forgot, we are doing the SYD DRW BOM with a 47 hour slip in DRW on the way up, looks good, oh and by the way midnight youre off those as well,

looks like the AKL could be doing BNE ICN and NRT as there are slots available on these patterns, but then they could give them to the BKK crew.
oh well midnight it may not be that bad!
