F/A Who Made Movie "The Aviary" Gets Canned By Her Airline
According to the latest entry in Silver Tree's online journal, she recently was fired by her employer. Apparently, they didn't like her movie. According to her journal entry, the airline also demanded that she remove "slanderous" comments from her website, even though she was only quoting a New York Times article. She never mentioned the airline by name, yet they still drummed up some excuse to fire her.

Sounds like she's got one helluva wrongful termination lawsuit!
Here's a link to an earlier thread where the movie in question was being discussed:

Well in her case, if she is with UAL as I have heard- her union is probably not very stong judging by how they dealt with th pernsion loss of the fa's in that past couple of years. I think striking for most of these unions is a thing of the past.

The Aviary
I too have watched the DVD and thought it was great to see us portrayed as it really is - although I wanted to see more in flight in dealing with pax. It does show how lonley and repetative it can be and really not glamorous as the rest of the world thinks it is!
Much respect to the stewardess who did it - although revolved around the relationship aspect too much.
I'd like to see a british version with the loco airlines! Jet2.com - get in there before EazyJet!

Hi Salieee,
Just go to whichever forum you want to post on, in this case Cabin Crew, and look at the top of the page. There is a box with "New Thread" on it.
Click that and work away.

Its a good movie, just enjoy it for what it is!
Dont any of you do, beers on the bus to the hotel or have crew rooms?? Drinking in uniform, what the public dont see doesnt hurt anybody!
As for sitting around on standby in uniform, Dont we just sit around in our PJ's all day?!
All in all ive had the movie for about a year and yes it sound korny but ive watched it a few times too many. We are a wierd bunch of people, but you have got to loves us!
