Duty Free

I am in the process of setting up the In-flight department for a new airline in Africa. I have a question regarding Duty Free sales. Are any of you paid a commission on your duty free sales? I have worked for international airlines before and we were never offered a commission.

Thanks

Lightbulb feedback

Flygal,

Having done one contract for a major european where crew received comm but the contractors did not was not a very good idea from a sales point of view.
There is no incentive to sell.
Coming from a sales background I feel it is imperrative that some kind of commission structure is offered in a sales enviroment even if nominal!

I have known crew that have been too busy that they by- pass even getting the trollies out of the galley or doing a PA.
A comm structure usually would change that

Good luck with the new Virgin

Typing the words 'duty free' into the search window, up popped the following thread: duty free

Very useful is the search function.
