new Aussie airline- flygold!
Hi everyone
Has anyone heard anything about the new proposed airline flying from Melbourne called 'flygold'? their website is, www.flygold.com.au
I e-mailed them and I was told I have been put on file and they will be in touch again shortly.
Has anyone else applied? I think they are going to be using A320 aircraft, which I think is what Jetstar are currently using. Im not too sure. They plan to start operations in July 2005.
Wow, another new airline for Australia! Gosh the industry sure has changed in the last 5 years!

There is an existing thread in the cabin crew room on
Gold airways.
Go to the search field and enter in flygold.
Many have applied and are awaiting futher instruction from the company.
Sadly as you may be aware these start-ups are very difficult to get off the ground.
Funding is yet to be provided which is crucial as you would imagine.
It is a great idea and one that should do well as long as it was grown slowly with limited routes.
There is a need in the market to provide an alternative premium product to QF.
Right now it is very risky to begin any type of operation in the Australian domestic market.
I personally hope they get up!

From their website:
I wonder how many volunteers they have?
Sounds a bit dodgy to me!
These are voluntary roles in which the new consultant contributes their spare time to the airline venture
