European Aviation Air Charter


Can any one tell me what the conditions are like working for EAAC??
I have been offered a job with them but have just had a call from a reputable aviation recruitment company telling me to steer clear !!!!

I am really not sure what to do now. I have heard that there is no long haul flying at the moment and that you are permanantly on SBY for winter on the 747, as it is a low basic this would cripple alot of crew as we rely on our flight allowances.

I would like to hear from anyone be it negative or positive.....

I am working for a low cost carrier at the mo as a line trainer is it worth giving up ???? (even tho conditions are unbearable)

My sources indicate you are way out of date Flymate!

Cruella has departed with no tears shed by anyone and replaced by someone who knows what they are doing and is civil and amusing.

The 747 fleet is going to be busy this winter and 2 new a/c will be coming on line. Plenty of flying for evryone.

The nature of the business is similar to Air Atlanta, and like Air Atlanta the roster can change at short notice, but they are introducing a computerised system, AIMS I think.

Give it a go Brandy, my info suggests that the horrors described by Flymate are in the past.

Well thanks both for your comments!

I must admit the first set of comments were what i had based my doubts on but, 2 friens are there now and they say cruella is long gone and the new CSM is ok.

I have worked for Ad-hoc several times and i loved it! so maybe i will test the water!

It is just a bit un nerving when you hear things.

EAAC and Canadian Western to India

Canadian Western Airlines (W2/CWA) ...on a follow-up to our September 8th news item regarding CWA selling tickets for proposed flights between Vancouver and India starting in November, the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) has issued an order dated September 19th stating that CWA has contravened section 59 of the CTA by selling and publicly offering for sale in Canada, an air service for which it does not hold a license issued under the CTA in respect of that service. The CTA therefore has given CWA a "cease and desist" order from selling seats on this proposed air service. The flights, which were to have started on November 5th were to be flown by European Aviation chartered Boeing 747s. However, even if CWA wanted to sub-charter to another foreign carrier, they would still need the required license to operate this service. Air Transat has expressed an interest in operating the weekly flights from Vancouver to India and the CEO of CWA is still determined to get the authority to operate a service and is talking to the CTA about what would be required. Cool EAAC

Hi there, I used to work for them and had a fantastic time. The crew are the best I've ever worked with. Everyone is there for a good time, and believe me, I had plenty of them!! I'll give you a little taster. I did lots of fab trips:

1)week Orlandos (summer)
2)1 nighters (Orlando)
3)weekends in Dublin
4)Canada trip for 10 days
5)trips around the UK

and when I speak to my mates there they are always all over the place, BGI, MIA, JED (last winter) and apparantly according to a friend of mine theyare doing AUS in the winter. How glam!!!!

On a serious note, they are not the best airline to work for but in my opinion, they do look after you and treat you well. Me anyway.

I started last April and the training course was not fantastic but the people on it were. After the initial 3 weeks they called and asked me to go on an 11 day trip which was great. I did lots of week and 1 night SFBs (Orlando). Usually taking home between £950-1100. I was there when the basic was lower so it may be slightly higher now. I made loads of fab friends there and miss it alot. However, I'm very happy where I am now as I know its scheduled and guaranteed work. (only downfall of EAAC)

I left because, at that time, they were offering only temp contracts and during my time at EAAC I was offered a perm job with A long haul airline from LHR. However, I will say that you may not earn the money of a millionaire but you will enjoy it if you decide to go over.

I would like to work for this company but I have a problem with having trips longer than a week. If you were rostered a trip for longer than a week would crewing let you swap with other crew?

Can you also request to do shorter trips?

Could it be that the "reputable aviation recruitment company" does not have a recruitment contract with EAAC??? These companies only make money from airlines & applicants willing to pay them for their services.
With a bit of groundwork it not difficult finding an airline job on your own providing that you fit the criteria. The worst of these agencies are the ones that charge silly money for so called cabin crew preparation courses.....I work with a stewardess who is a trainer on one of these courses & she is one of the least qualified to do so, knowing little about teamwork & has been knocked back for promotion on several occasions.
Confidence, hard work & the ability to be yourself are all thats needed to get a flying job.....avoid the sharks & good luck!

Have to say this was the worst ever Company I have had the pleasure of working for, disorganized and completely unprofessional as for the cabin crew management weak comes to mind.

However on a good note made some good friends out of it

Hey!

I used to work for them about a year ago.

What can I say? It was ummmmmmmmmmmmm...........Very interesting.

I left because I felt very unsafe on their 25 year old aircraft. How ever, the people were fab. But crewing were a joke.

6 Months after I left they called me for a 1 week Orlando!! I thought it was funny, but rather worrying. Should have gone along for the jolly.

I was there towards the begining. But had great trips. A week in Bermuda. That was very nice. However, there were no allowences up front. That was a bit of a pain when you have one week some where. But it was paid into the wages end of each month.

I now work for Richard B and love it!!!!!!!!

I did enjoy eaac! But it is a lot better now I have heard!!!

The crew work bloody hard! And were a great bunch. Just a shame about the management!

As I said earlier, I was sick of always going "tech". Not much fun.

But no two days were ever the same!!!!!!!!!!!

Go for it and see for your self. Its not the end of the world, Unless you are sat at L/R 5!!!!!!

Only joking!!!

Brandy this reputable aviation recruitment company wouldn't be BETTS would it ?? If they are that reputable, they wouldn't be slagging EAAC off openly to the likes of you. Maybe as CandyBender states, maybe they don't have a contract to recruit for EAAC.

My advice to you is to go and see what EAAC are like. You have nothing to lose and maybe something to gain. You could always go to another LOCO like - Mmmmmm Ryanair but then it wouldn't be any different from what you are doing now would it except you wouldn't be training

I've heard all srots of things about eaac some good, some bad. I know someone who hasn't long left there. Apparently air atlanta have taken some of there long-haul contracts and there ot going to be as busy in the winter as first proposed.
