Worst destination
Well for us at Monarch I reckon it has to be a Sharm al Sheikh! Or a Luxor. You spend 12 hours on the aircraft. sometimes the flight times can be 5 and a half hours! aaaagh
usually get good commission on those flights tho :-)

Try Banjul - 14 hours 45 minutes duty time!!! There and back... s**t! And we do Egypt , too - working there and back, too. Oh, and working LGW - MXP - URA, positioning back - whopping 19 hours duty!!! Shall I carry on? Give me Las Vegas any time!

When we did TLV that was the worst. Now we love to hate DME and LED. Flights are long - 4.5 hrs - pax are rude, undiciplined and it is utterly dangerous to have to put up with several instances of TWO drunk pax smoking in the lavs.
Also flights to CAI and CMN. The stink ...... uggh!

My absoloute worst is anything like an LHR-CDG, LHR-BRU, LHR-AMS cause they're just too short and rushed and YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK! But mainly the LHR-CDG cause the passengers are just sooooo rude, and please, please, please when I ask you if you want a drink, DO NOT REPLY IN FRENCH! I know these people speak English and we're rushed enough as it is to play their silly 'I refuse to speak your language' games! When they really need something, amazingly their English becomes perfect!
P.S. I'm probably one in a million, but I LOVE the ATH and DME and flights like that!! Give me anything that's long! I need time!!!

Runner - try LIVING in Naples with those nasty, boring PAX. Trust me - they are far worse when they are back home.
As a Brit in Italy, I hate flying into / out of any Italian destination - something about the way they are as PAX - some of the worst behaved carrying the worst of attitudes. My ex hated the LON - New York flights - certain types of PAX on there made it bad she said.

OK, interesting thread, so here's the challenge. Find the route you hate the most, and then do some work on it! Clearly, most (not all) of your customers don't wake up and think to themselves "How can I P**s off my crew today?", so they're probably unaware of the effect they are creating. We're talking about cultural and sociological differences that grate out of context. So rather than wage a war with customers that ultimately you will not win, is there anything you can do as crew, that will enhance their experience as customers, and make life easier for you as crew?
I'm not being cute, I know full well that some groups of people can be difficult. I just wonder, if this thead doesn't demonstrate that there are some areas where we need more knowledge?
Take for example, my previous problem flight to Ovda (VDA) in Israel. Most crew in my company, hate these flights. If people want to pray, roll with it, and let them, at the doors if necessary. If they want to bicker about seats, just let it wash over you. If they want to stand up during the meal service, work around the problem - it;s not easy, but it's easier with the right frame of mind.
In short, I wonder if threre isn't more we can do on 'difficult' flights to make our own, and customers, life easier.
Discuss,
Flame,
But read the post carefully (I Did, except for the spellink)

My all time worst route if Pmi (Palma). It's always full of screaming little brats and the passengers are really demanding and want a pepsi, wine and beer and then they still ask for more. Then they complain that they didn't get enough drink and are really rude about it.

AMRITSAR....
The people in Amritsar are amazing, some of the nicest people in the world! But the brummy shell suit wearing trash we take out there are unquestionably the vilest.... I was once working at the rear, but at 2 doors to disembark down route. One pax as leaving called me a ******* bastard. When I asked why, he said the service was ****. I apologised for this and explained to the pax that I had been working at the back and didn't know what had been going on up the front. I then did the service recovery bit, offered him a comments card etc... (he was in row 2) He told me to **** off.... Nice!
I've spent a month in India this year and absolutely love the native people. As for the stinkers we take to visit relatives, maybe we should leave them out there for a bit. I think they'll appreciate life a little more then.
